“I killed him for a reason” Seth glares, blood dripping from the corner of his cut mouth. I lay on the floor, beaten and batted. I can no longer feel my own body, it aches with sweet pain. My hair sticks to my face from blood and sweat. “Why did you kill him?” I barely spit out. He slowly moves towards me, I use every bit of strength I have left in me to push me backwards. My back presses’ against the cool wall, stopping me from going anywhere else. “Why did you kill Alexander?” My voice is rough, my throat throbs with pain. “He told too much.”

My body jolts awake from my slumber. “Told too much to who?” I whisper to myself. I use my arms to lift up my being and crawl out of this comfortable bed. I let out a little yawn and rub my eyes with the back of my hands. I sleepily walk out of the room and slink into the soft sofa. My mind tries to process the dream that I had just had.

Was my train of thought trying to tell me something? I ask myself. A loud vibrating noise interrupts my thoughts; I lazily get off of the sofa and walk towards the table.

Jarod:

Gone out to get food. Want coffee?

My fingers hover over the keyboard for a second before I decide to text back. I press send and stare at my phone for a minute; I glance to the paper on the table. Before I know it I’m doing the unimaginable.

My fingers tap away at the screen, entering the number that was on the piece of scrunched up paper. I hit the green dial button, my heart pounding at an extravagant speed.

“Hello?” His soft deep voice reaches into my ear.

“Seth?” My voice shakes.

“Speaking.”

“Hi! This is Hannah Green, the one you met at the coffee shop a few days ago.” I breathe out in relief.

“Oh! Hey! I was actually wondering, would you like to catch up?” He asks me.

“Sure! When would you like to catch up?” I respond.

“Are you free tomorrow night?” I pick up some nerves in his voice.

“Yup!” I say, with a pop on the ‘P’.

“Can I pick you up tomorrow night and take you out to dinner?”

“Sure!” I twirl my hair.

“Ermmm… Where do you live?” He stutters.

“I’m staying at the Hilton, I am in room 206”

“Oh, so you aren’t around from here?”

“Not at all, I’m here for a few months.”

“Ahhh, well I have got to go now, I’ll pick you up at 7 tomorrow night.”

“Alright, bye!” I press the end call button and set my phone down on the couch. I sink in the seat besides my phone. I stare at the TV screen and think to myself,

What the fuck did I get myself into?
