24. THE PRACTICE (PT.2)

BEEEEEEP!!!

'Alright you guys, do some warm ups first before we start our practice today.' Mr. Min said as he took out a name list.

'Hmm, I heard there's a new player for our team. The name is Mark Lee, right? Where are you?' Mr. Min said as he looking around for Mark.

'Over here, Mr. Min.' Mark raised up his hand nervously.

'There you are and I guess Jeno the team captain let you join his team right?'

'Y-Yeah.'

'Later show me how good you are.' Mr. Min smirked making Mark very nervous.

'It's okay Mark, you can do it.' Jeno whispered and Mark nodded his head.

After the whole 30 minutes of warm ups, Mr. Min threw a basketball to Mark and Mark managed to catch it with one hand.

'Show me what you got boy. Guanlin, go play with him.' Mr. Min gestured him.

Lai Guanlin, the tall player besides Sanha got up from the bench and stood in front of Mark. Mark had to lifted up his head a bit despite Guanlin's tall height.

'This is gonna be lit!!' Samuel exclaimed excitedly. On the other side, Jeno quite worried about that and he hoped that Mark will overcome this even though its just a friendly match.

'Ready guys?' Mr. Min said while he holding a whistle.

Mark and Guanlin looked at each other and nodded their heads. Mark put the ball on the ground and both of them stepped back.

'One, two ...' Mr. Min looked at both of them.

'Three!' He blew the whistle.

Both of them dashed towards to the ball but Guanlin caught it first and bounced the ball to the basket. Jeno quickly covered his eyes with his hands not wanting to see that and the rest cheered.

Luckily, Mark was fast enough to snatch the ball from Guanlin and quickly ran opposite from him. Then Mark jumped and slammed the ball into the hoop. All of them cheered except Jeno who's still covering his eyes.

Mr. Min widened his eyes in surprise that how fast and smooth Mark was.

'Wow, Mark is indeed fast.' Samuel said.

'Wait what?' Jeno said as he put down his hands.

'Mark got the ball Jeno, he's fast enough to grab the ball from Guanlin.' After Samuel said that, Jeno sighed in relief.

'Wah, you're fast dude.' Guanlin panted. Mark just chuckled.

'That's very impressive. I like your moves by the way. Where did you learned that from?'

'Erm, from my brother?' Mark said hesitantly.

'Your brother?'

'Y-Yeah, he's also a basketball player.'

'Oh really? Then good for you.' Mr. Min smiled as he patted Mark's shoulder. Good thing that Mr. Min didn't asked about his brother then Mark felt relieved.

'Okay guys, let's get started.' Mr. Min clapped his hands signaling them to start the practice.

All of them ran around the basketball course for 5 laps while bouncing a basketball. After that, all of them had to shoot a ball into the basketball by turns.

After the whole 2 hours of the practice by learning some new tactics and running around the court, finally they all sat on the bench for a rest. All of them sweated like crazy.
