Chapter 9

After the lake trip we dropped the boys off. Now i am home getting into dry clothes because we r going somewhere else and Melvin wont tell me where. I took a fast shower put on my usual attire and headed to the truck. We took off once we were im guessing close to the destination he took out a blind fold and tied it over my eyes. Yes we pulled over. We got back on the road and drove for three more minutes till we stopped. Melvin jumped out the truck and headed to my door. He helped me out and led me into the destination. "Kay. You ready tali?" Melvin asked very excited. "Um yeah." I said a tad curious. It stunk in here and i heard dogs barking and cats meo-omg!! Melvin took off the blind fold and look at my reaction. I ran to the dogs but Melvin stopped me. "Uh. No Chewie and Sugar are enough dogs. Go to the next door." Melvin said. Well thats a little disapointing. I go tl where the cats are. I immediately get happy and start slowly looking at the kitties. Yes i call them kitties. I always wanted one but never could have one because of my parents. They both were allergic. I looked at each kitty till one caught my eye. She was cute. She looked like a regular tabby cat but she ahd a rusty color to her coat. It was pretty. She was pretty and was only a kitten. I ran to Melvin "ifoundonecomelookatit!!" I said quickly. Maybe to quickly because Melvin looked at me funny. I sighed and grabbed his hand. I took to my kitty and pointed. " i love this one." Melvin nodded and so did the person that worked here. "Yeah, she had a hard life before we picked her up. She was what made dogs mad and visious in dog fights. She was almost dead when we found her. She is a fighter. Now look how beautuful she is. Is she what you want?" The worker asked. Tears in my eyes after hearing her story i nodded. "Ok lets go do the paper work and get her free shots then u may take your new fur baby home." We spent an hour there. A FREAKIN HOUR! it was worth every second though. I couldn't think of a name sooo i named her what she is, Kitty, Melvin didnt like it but, he said its not his cat so he didnt care what i named her. Before we went home we stopped by Wal-Mart since i had a purse in the truck for some odd reason i put her in there and took her inside with me. She didnt seem to care cause she fell back asleep. Melvin chuckled "seriously? You're takin her in? You couldve stayed in the truck with her. I wouldnt be long." I stared at him "yes im takin Kitty in. They wont know and i want to pick out some things for her, Sugar, and Chewie." I wanted mathing outfits for them and collars. Why? Because i can and will. Cue evil laugh.

1 hour later....

Melvin wouldnt let me get matching outfits...soooo i git her a a bedazzled color. It was pink and since i brought her in i got the right size. We also got cat toys,litter,and a litter box, oh and cat food. We went home and i sprented up the stairs and called the boys and told them to come over immediately. It was only 6:00 pm. It didnt take em long to get here. "TALISA JAMIE AND YOUR LOVER BOY IS HERE!" I heard melvin yell. Oooh he is so gonna pay for making my face bright red. Ugh that a-hole. I went downstairs and found Melvin. I punched his arm and grabbed the boys hands draggin them up the staires. "LOOK AT THIS!" You may think I'm acting childish but Jamie knew i always wanted a kitten. Jake on the other hand was confused and kinda weired out. "You finally got a kitten tals. What'd you name her?" Jamie said with a happy look in his eyes. "I named her Miss Kitty. You know..like in Gunsmoke. The girl with the bright red hair my dad has...had a crush on..." i slowly started to feel the sadness come over me. My gramma hates me and Melvin because she thinks it's our fault for the accident she knows they were going to Vegas to try to buy a house for us to move in. Considering thats where their job was they were on their way there for us to have a better life then in Neosho. Now half my family hates me and my brother. My Grandfather even said to Melvins face after the funeral that he hopes he gets shot. "Um talisa..you're crying. Are you okay?" Jake asked concerned. Jamie i guess havent told him yet like i asked last week. I looked at Jamie and he took Jake outside my room and told him everything. I looked at Miss Kitty and smiled at her playing with Chewie's long fur. I gtabbed a ball with a small bell inside and dropped it on the ground and watched her jump off my bed and start playing with the ball. The boys come in and wrap me in a hug. By the way Jake smells good annnnyway the hug made me feel better. I am glad i have my boys. We played with Miss Kitty for a while. Jamie had to leave because his mother told him to go eat dinner. It was just me and jake. "Sooo what do you want to do?" Jake asked lookin at Miss Kitty sleep. Theres two i want to do and kiss you is one of them and then cuddle. "Really?" Jake asked lookin at me. Crap i saod that out loud. "Yes my tali you did." I looked at him confused " what did u s-" before i could ask Jake was kissing me. OMG!
