Gee's POV

~~~
It'd been almost a week by the time we finished putting everything together and we were as well prepared as we'd ever be.
The car was waiting out front, the guns and cases to hold the money in the boot.
A map of where the place was and how we'd get in and get out.
We'd even gone as far as to draw up a plan of how we'll shake the cops when they do eventually chase us.
It was almost like we were robbers in a movie and everything would turn out fine in the end.
I'd decided to keep telling myself that.
We weren't real people, we were characters in a heist film who were going to get the money they needed and get away with it.
In other words I was being completely delusional and deciding to ignore reality.
This wouldn't be the only time I've disappeared into my own head, I used to do it a lot when I was in school.
I'd live in my own fantasy world of superheroes and villains where I'd always get to save the day.
Kinda like life if you buffed away all the imperfections and of course I wouldn't be a hero, I'd be a bystander watching the true hero stop the villain and get the girl.
As insane as I could get I wasn't stupid enough to believe I could save a damsel or get the key to the city.
I'd be the bad guy who plots while everyone hates him and cheers about when he gets defeated.
And even then a villain would still amount to more than me.
