Chapter-16

It was evening, Ashu was tying her hair up at the same time shouting hard at her mum for a cup of tea. She called her mum repeatedly but no one replied her. She was wearing a Denim shirt and white skinny jeans with a pair of black high heels and a white and silver wrist watch on her left hand with a slight of mascara and eyeliner on her eyes and dark rubi red lipstick on her lips giving her a perfect look of Mary's daughter. She was a perfect replica of Mary.

Basically she was getting ready for her roommate Rhiya's birthday who also lives in Dehradun. After she finished tying her hair up she called her again.
"Mum can I get my evening tea. What is wrong with you?"

"Ashu baba(dear) your mum is not here ." her maid replied.

"Rani Aunt where were you? It's been two week now I am here and you are showing your face today. I missed you though. Everything is going wrong Aunt." She went and hugged her and started crying. Rani is their maid, She's been working under them as a maid since Ashu was 4years so basically she and Ashu shares a special bonding.

" What happened? Tell me? Are you sick?" asked Rani.

"No leave it! And tell me where were you?"

"My mother-in law was unwell, I had to stay with her anyway. Now she's fine so I'm here and moreover Mary madam called me and said that you were here and I didn't want to miss any chances to meet my Ashu baba."

Ashkira chuckled wiping her tears slightly.

"Where's mum?"

"She's not here. Ashwin saheb(sir) and Mary madam went somewhere."

"They didn't even bother to inform me?" ashkira murmurs.

" What? Oh-oh..You wait, I forgot to turn off the flame. I'm bringing your tea." she says and went.

She stands in front of her mirror and start talking to herself,"How time flies. There was a time when your dearest mum and dad would never leave you alone and even if they did, they always inform you but now look at them Ashu, they went somewhere without informing you. And how can they behave so normally. Or is it me who is overreacting too much. I've to ask my freinds indirectly about how would they react if they encounters similar situation".

Meanwhile she was thinking like this her phone vibrates, it was Rhiya.
"yes Rhiya, I'm on my way."
"Okay come fast" Rhiya shouts because of the loud music going on in the background.
"Yah! Give me 20 minutes."
And they hung up.

Rani ( maid) comes with tea and some biscuits. She passes her cup to Ashu whereas Ashu was booking a cab.

"Ashu baba take your tea."
"yah wait aunty two minutes. Okay give! It's done."
  She started sipping her tea when her mobile vibrates. She clicks her power button of her XOLO Q1010 Android to see whose message, it was a message from uber "Your cab is arriving in one minute."

She hurriedly takes 2-3 sips and rushed towards her closet takes her black overcoat, wears it and then there was another message, you uber reached your point.

Aunty don't cook food for me.
Bye aunt. I'll be late.

"Okay and cover yourself nicely, it's cold outside." Rani started sliding away the curtains to see Ashu.

By saying this, she heads outside, climb into the uber cab, waves her hand to Rani aunt from inside.
The uber cab turns on its ignition to reach it's destination.
