Moving Too Fast

                                                       Chapter 1

I sat there and stared out the window but I could only see clouds, I studied this one cloud for about 20 minutes, As I stared at it blankly I’m sure I could see me and my family together and happy exactly like when I was 10 years old. Tears rolled down my cheeks and into my mouth, which tasted salty and bitter. It was like the cloud was playing reruns of when my Mum and Dad had a huge argument and my Dad left, from that day my life crumbled away bit by bit. I remember everything that happened that day, if I had to explain in exact form I would win every time.

It all started on June 31st 2005 at 10 o’clock, I was playing at my best friend’s house Jacey, me and Jacey had been best friends since year 1. Jacey lives across the street from my house. While I was playing I heard my Dad’s car parking outside my house, I rushed to the window and shouted “Daddy” He turned back and said

“Hey Darling, what you doing at Jacey’s house its late”. I remember rolling my eyes and saying...

“Dad, I’m 6 now I’m sure I can stay at my best friend’s house for a bit longer and anyways I’m staying over Mum said I could”.

“Okay then ( he had a sneak grin at the side of his mouth) see you tomorrow” he said waving, then turned around unlocked the door and went inside, but l never saw him the next day, for a matter of fact I never saw him until 4 weeks later.

When my Dad went inside I shut the window paused for a bit, then thought to myself,I have the perfect family then turned back to Jacey who was doing my nails.

10:15pm I was getting ready to go to bed but I forgot my tooth brush and Pj’s so decided I was going to go across the street to my house and pick up the stuff. I ran across the street and went inside only to hear my Mum and Dad shouting and screaming at each other,

 I ran into the kitchen and saw my mum crying and my Dad shouting at her,

 When they saw me standing there they immediately stopped and looked at me with a sorry look in their eyes, I looked at them and started crying. I remember my Mum running up to me and picking me up, she looked at me and told me to stop crying, then looked at my Dad and said

“I think you should leave, look what you done to our daughter” 

“What I’ve done (He said looking shocked) you’re the one who was crying like I hit you” Dad said Then walked up to us and took me from my Mum’s arms

“You might as well as, now I want you to leave” Mum said pointing to the door. My Dad looked at my Mum and then at me, he kissed me on the forehead then said

“I love you Alisa, You’re always be my little girl”

 Then he put me down and started to walk towards the door. I remember screaming where you going and trying to run to him but my Mum wouldn’t let me go.

Then with a simple slam of the door he was gone and he never came back to our house again.....

The next day was school and I couldn’t concentrate properly and was happy when school was over. When I got home I saw most of Dads stuff was gone, my friend Alex told me my Dad came when I was at school to get all his stuff.

So from that day on I knew my perfect life wasn’t so perfect anymore...
