Oh My God.

*~*~*

"Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god," I babbled down the phone at Sarah. I kept repeating it until it blended into one long word.

"Ohm'god, ohm'god, ohm'god!" I squealed. I peeked out of the window in the hall at the , "Yes! Okay, so-" I began, I was speaking too fast and I knew it, but I didn't care. There was no time to be calm.

"Al? What's got you so excited?" I could hear her typing on her laptop in the background. I smiled, she was probably writing. She had confessed to me a couple of days ago that it was something she liked to do. No more information was offered so I didn't push. It was obviously something personal to her, I just wanted to prove I was worth telling it to. I didn't want to make her uncomfortable.

"What day is it? Tuesday?" I spoke to myself, "Yeah, what time is the forge open to on Tuesdays?"

"Like ten," She answered, there was no more typing. I checked my phone 18:59. I suppose I could do it in three hours.

"You, me, Ness," I gasped, "The forge, twenty minutes, I'll explain later. Be there!" I yelled before I tapped the end button.

"Ness! Ness! Ness! Ness!" I didn't lose any excitement going from one call to another, "Me, Sarah and you my dear friend at the Forge in twenty!" I tried to hang up at the speed of sound again but she shouted through to me.

"Can't too much homework," She groaned, "See you," And then I was the one that got hung up on. I shrugged, I had to leave in five. The Forge was this town's biggest shopping centre and it was a fifteen minute drive from my house and a five minute walk from Sarah's.

This town was so weird because it actually was a town, it actually was a big city. It just so happened that it wasn't connected to any other towns or cities. There was a couple of shopping centres; a city centre that was just as good as Glasgow or Edinburgh's (so I'm told); there was a bowling alley; a cinema and a freaking beach.

So to be honest, I don't know why you'd really need anywhere else.

I decided not to call Maria, she'd take to long to answer, instead I text her. Snacks for two for shopping please x :)

I got my legs tangled in my onesie as I was rushing to take it off, "No time for this!" I snapped at myself, replacing with a 5 Seconds of Summer t-shirt and I dug through my cupboard for trousers.

I huffed. Finding my most treasured contact, I set my phone on loud speaker so I could fight my skinny jeans and still talk to Harry.

"Harry! We have to go," I ended the five second call and slipped my phone back in my pocket. I glanced in the mirror as I passed it. I had been trying to gradually wear less make-up and when I got home I had washed it all off. It made me extremely nervous. I took a step back towards my door and around again and towards the door and aoround again before deciding to slap on some foundation.

I sighed in the mirror, partly because I felt better because also because my confidence wasn't improving. I yanked a brush through my hair three or four times and decided to leave it natural. It there was one thing I wouldn't change about myself, it was my hair.

I dived into the kitchen and grabbed the two sandwich bags that Maria had set down on the edge of the counter with a post-it on them that read, "Enjoy, Alyssa" and a little smiley face at the bottom. They seemed to be called 'Sunshine Bars' and 'Spiced Apple Crisps', it was scrawled in black permanent marker by Maria's assisant, Wayne. I aww'd and checked the time on my Dolce & Gabana watch, 19:09. It was one of my best times to be ready, but unless I found Harry I was going to be late.

"Thanks!" I called into the currently empty kitchen and darted out, in the direction of the garage. I passed my father en route, "Going out, love you," I kissed his cheek and continued out of the house.

"Uh, be back by ten," He called after me. I flashed a thumbs up back at him.

I reached the front door and flew out to the driveway where, thank the Lord, Harry was standing, fully dressed in a cream button-down and some jeans, next to the BMW. I might have told him that he shouldn't have brought such a flashy car but there was no time.

"Hey there Princess," He walked around to open the passenger door for me, "Where are you off to?"

"The Forge please," I replied once he got into his side of the car. We both pulled our seatbelts on, "Pedal to metal, Harry," I paused, "I'm not that cool," I laughed. That strange laugh where you just violently exhale out of your nose.

Harry chuckled. "And what's the emergency?" He took off at an alarmingly high speed for someone who was currently giving me an inquisitve look.

I tapped the bridge of my nose. "Just you watch the road," I switched the radio on and She Looks So Perfect by none other than the boys on my t-shirt blasted from the speakers. I turned my head to face Harry with a clown-like smile on my face, however, Harry's shoulders just dropped in defeat. He wouldn't be getting anything form me for now.

I sang loudly, it had just begun so I had a few minutes to relax. Harry did not. He screwed his eyes up as I belted the heys but he still quiet until I was done. I spun the knob so the next song wouldn't deafen us but I realised that it was the playlist I had made on Harry's iPod that was playing when Summer of 69 came on next. I furiously twisted the volume controls back up. Harry hung his head as we slowed to a red light.

Then, we hit a song that Harry had insisted I put on the playlist so he'd have something to listen to when we drove out, so another minute and a half was saved as he quietly sang to himself, but not for the whole song. He kept questioning me with his glances to the left, "I need a new outift." I admitted, trying to give him as little as possible.

"For.....?" Harry wouldn't drop it, I knew he wouldn't. But we were nearly there, I could string this out until we got to the forge.

"You know, to wear out," I was very aware that I just gave him the world's world attempt at seeming non-chalant but I could see the sign that read in bright letters: The Forge, "To bowling," I smiled, he had reached the entrance to the shopping centre's car park.

"I'll walk from here," I told him but he raised an eyebrow and drove me to the front. I didn't protest because there was a car-fuffle (note to self: never use that word again) in front of us that he had to pay attention to, "Thanks, H," I gave him a thumbs up and leapt out of the vehicle.

"Call me when you need a lift back, Princess," He was shaking his head as I got out, but I just kept on going.

Sarah was standing just inside the doors waving at me, I skipped over to her, feebly attempting to contain my giggles.

"So?" She asked, holding her arms out, "What's with the excitement? What happened?" She wasn't mad or annoyed, she was intruigued and almost as hyper active as I was. It must be contagious.

I bit my lip and took a deep breath, "I need a new outfit to wear for bowling tomorrow night," I flapped my hands around like an idiot, "Because Ty asked me out!" Her wide, green eyes snapped to mine and she squealed. It was quieter than I had been when he called me earlier but Sarah was quieter than me in general.

"You'll have to tell me everything," She gasped, "But first, new outfit," And with that she took my hand and dragged me off into the shops.
