Broken

                     ZACHS POV
*Walking to cash registers*
I look behind myself to ask Kenzie a question.
"Wait, guys..where's Kenzie!?" I ask panicked. She tells me every time she walks away because she know how much i worry.
  We searched for her everywhere but couldn't find her until i heard a familiar voice..a mans voice..James's voice..
I ran as fast as i could and i looked down an isle that i heard his voice from and there was James..and Kenzie. She looked pale, terrified, hurt, and confused. She was sobbing as he held her face up with his fingers and holding onto her arm putting his face close to hers. Then i ran for them and he dragged her somewhere..i couldn't find them for a minute and then i heard Kenzie sobbing. I looked down the dark, last isle and she was sitting there crying in a ball. Everyone eventually found us and all i could do is hug Kenzie and i tried standing her up but she had bruises and scratches all over her arms and face and a hand print..James slapped her. I've never had so much hatred towards someone before. James is the worst person ever..i just can't think of words to describe words to describe him.
    
                   COLBYS POV

*also back to walking to cash registers*
"Wait..guys, where is Kenzie?!" Zach said nervously. I could tell he really worries about her.
We ran around Walmart searching for Kenz...Zach must've heard someone because he dashed to an isle and stood there for a split second looking terrified...he ran after whoever that was, but whoever that guy was, couldn't be good. We all ran after Zach and eventually he stopped and ran into the last and darkest isle. Kenzie sat there sobbing in a ball with her knees to her chest and her fingers in her hair(she let it down out of the french braids when we got to hot topic) as Zach hugged onto her tightly i saw bruises and scratches on her arms and face with a hand mark...at that moment i realized the man was the man Zach told me about..Kenzie's ex that did all that to her.. i wanted to help kenzie so bad but i couldn't do anything..i didn't know what to do..i felt so helpless.
*present-still colbys pov*
  I let Corey, Aaron, Kat, Elton and Devyn drive my car home and rode with Zach, Kenz, and Sam.
We all drove back to our house and Zach carried Kenz inside and I told him that if he wanted to he could let her stay in my room until they left. He thanked me and carried her upstairs. She's still crying softly.
A few minutes later, Zach returned. We sat everyone down at the couch and explained what happened..
"H-Uhm-Hey guys..i'm sorry for what happened tonight." Zach said.
"What did happen?" Elton asked.
"Well..um...so...a few years ago that man, James, dated my sister." Zach and I cringed at that.
"Okay..?" Corey said.
"Well," Zach started again, "he beat her," everyone's mouths dropped except Sam and Mine because we already knew, "and well, he beat her, and-and h-he raped her..." No one said a thing.
"Oh my god.." Devyn said.
"W-why is he here?" Kat asked.
"We don't know..he supposedly moved across the USA to Florida. But i guess he never did or moved back." Zach said.
"Well we have to do something, we can't just let him do this to her and not get anything in return.." Elton said.
"We've tried. Everything. He's a lawyer so he has advantages. And he tried to sue us after we tried to press charges." Zach said.
"Sue for what!? Y'all did nothing!" Corey said throwing his hands up in defeat.
"He tried to make it sound like we lied." Zach finished.
"This makes no sense..there has to be something.." Arron said.
    Later on the time was 9:36pm and Kenzie hasn't come out of my room. Zach decided to call Alex and Mari(remember these are Kenzie's bffs) and explain what happened and to come over and I called Brennan to come over so i can explain.
       We were all scattered around the house. Devyn and Corey, up in their room. Sam and Kat, on the couch. Brennan and Alex and Arron and Mari in the game room just talking. Elton and Amanda(his girlfriend) in the kitchen, and i sat outside with my feel in the pool. I sat there just thinking. I didn't know what to do. I know feeling bad is something Kenzie wouldn't want me to do but i couldn't help it. I just wish none of this had ever happened.

                KENZIES POV

I just don't know what to do. I don't want people to feel bad for me or have sympathy or anything. It's been almost 2 hours since ive been up here. Im glad they are giving me my space and letting me think because i'm sure they are thinking too. I know Brennan is here and Mari and Alex. I wanna make sure Colby is okay. But i don't want everyone to stop me and talk to me. So i just texted him.

K: hey colby. r u ok?
C: baby. i'm ok are you ok is the real question.
K: i'm not ok but i'll be fine don't worry.
C: kenz, i'm always gonna worry. i care about you.
K: ppl say that but don't mean it colby. i rlly hope u mean it. i really like u.
C: and i rlly like you too. i always will. i trust me, i'll always care for you.
K: i just don't want you to have to have to worry where i am all the time.
C: kenz, i alway will no matter what situation. i love kenzie.
K: i love you too colby.

   Now that i've talked to Colby and made sure he's ok makes me feel so much better.

OKAY SORRY FOR THE PRETTY LAME CHAPTER BUT DO I HEAR #ALEN(alex+brennan) AND #ARI(mari+aaron)???!!!! NEXT CHAPTER I WILL TRY TO BE BETTER I PROMISE(I DIDNT CHECK FOR MISTAKES- AND SCHOOL IS COMING UP IN 2 WEEKS 😭) HOPE YALL ENJOYED!! <3 <3
