Again? Already? Why?

\\KENZIES POV//

It's been a few weeks since i've finally come out of my room and i haven't really gone out of the house. Zach went back to his home and coming back to spend two weeks with me next week because my parents will be home for two days but then leaving again for 3-5 months. They'll be here tomorrow. Yeah, it's gonna be weird having them home, even though it's just two days. But i'm glad they'll be home. They know about what happened a few weeks ago at Walmart and made sure i was okay and made sure Zach was with me but other than that they didn't care. It was better then them be freaking out about it i guess. Idk.

Colby is excited to finally meet them. We are going out with them the first day they are home. It'll be me, Colby, Zach and my parents. The next day me and my mom are going out shopping and see a movie and Zach and my dad are going golfing for a few hours.
Colby has been over most of the time and i've been over at their house a bunch too. It seems like everyone has forgotten about what happened, and i'm glad because i hate when all the attention is on me.

*time skip to parents being home*

"beep beep beep!"
"Mom! Dad!" I yelled as i heard the house alarm go off. I ran down the stairs wearing a white halter top crop top, a flannel, and high waisted shorts. With curly hair, a little makeup, and black vans. And necklaces.

"Kenzie Kins!!" They squealed my nickname they use for me when they saw me.
"How have y'all been?" I asked hugging them both.
"We've been good, what about you..?" My mom asked putting her hands on my shoulders looking me in the eyes. Referring to the Walmart thing.
"Um, i could be better but i'm getting there." I looked up into my moms eyes. She's a bit taller then me. I'm only 5'5 and she's 5'9. Yeah, me and my mom are super short and little for our ages.
"Yeah..when are we meeting this boy of yours?" My dad asked.
"He's on his way right now. Should be here any minute. Want me to take yalls bags to your room?" I asked.
"We've got it, but thanks." They say.
"No problem." I say walk to the kitchen to grab a water as they go upstairs to put their bags away, even though they aren't unpacking them.
  I remembered that i forgot my phone upstairs so a run to go grab it and i pass my parents room and hear them talking..more like whispering. They say my name while whispering.
"....kenzie...she's so small..what happened?" My dad asked.
"It has to just be James bothering her, and the boat, and everything must still be bothering her. I don't know." My mom says coming closer to the door, my room is down the hall and i was listening from the side of the door so i run to my room and sit on my bed when i hear a door bell.
  When i got downstairs my dad opened the door and it was Colby.
"Hello sir." Colby said politely.
"Hello, are you Colby?" My dad asked.
"Yessir, I am." Colby said shaking my dads hand.
"Come on in Colby, i think we are about to get going. Zach is meeting us there."
Colby nodded. And looked at me, standing on the stairs.
"Hi, Colby." I smiled.
"Hi, Kenz. You look great, as always." Colby said.
"Well thank you Colby." I said putting my hand on my heart.
"Is that Colby?!" My mom yelled from the kitchen.
"Yes, ma'am." Colby answered going to the kitchen to greet her.
I finished coming down the stairs right as my dad was passing and he whispers to me, "He's a keeper i can tell already." He smiles at me.
"He sure is." I whisper back.
I walk to Colby after he shakes my moms hand. I stand next to him across the island in the kitchen from my mom with him and hold his hand.
We head out to Olive Garden and i get a weird feeling again but i really think that's just nerves from Colby and my parents meeting.
When we get there Zach is already at a table. We see him and head over to him and Colby gets asked a few questions like usual and all that fun stuff.
The entire time i feel someone's eyes burning into my back.
We get pub drinks and talk for a little while longer about Colby's youtube and everyone living in the house he does.
"Is your social media okay with all of this? Like dating Kenzie?" My mom asks.
"I choose not to care what they think. Yes they are mad, but we don't look at the comments just so we don't start believing what they say, you know?" Colby said looking at me. He's sitting next to me and Zach and my parents are sitting across from us. Zach could tell i look uncomfortable because he texted me, even though he's sitting infront of me. We do this a lot. I tell him i just feel like someone is staring at me and i'm ok.
After we get our food and eat Colby insists on paying but there is no way we would let that happen. I turn around to pop my back and see who's starting at me.
I freeze. My eyes widen.
How.
Why.
James.
Again.
I immediately turn back around. My parents got up and went to the bathroom. I still sit there in shock and try to stay calm. Colby states that he's going to the bathroom and looks at me, i still hold his hand, squeeze it and whisper so i don't cry,
"Don't..leave."
At this point a few tears build up and Zach and Colby are freaking out but keeping it low.
"Kenzie what the heck is wrong??! What's going on?" Zach asks.
"Look behind me.." I whisper.
They both look behind me and know who/what i'm talking about.
"We need to eat you out of here." Colby said.
I look over at the bathrooms and my mom walks out of the women's and dad walks out of the men's, they both know something is wrong. They practically run over to us.
"What. What's going on!?" My dad asks.
"J-james...he's here." My dad searches the restaurant and sees him. He starts to walk over to him but i grab his arm.
"Dont..it'll make things worse. Or he'll try to sue us again."
"Ken-" I cut him off.
"Please. Just don't." My dad looks down at me in the eyes.
We pay and run to the car. I was holding Colbys hand and Zach behind me to the left. My mom and dad infront of us unlocking the car. Someone took my arm and I assumed it was just Zach until it started pulling back. My grip wasn't strong enough on Colbys hand and slips out of his hand. 
    It was James.
"Kenzie!" Colby yelled.
  James has a knife to my back so no one can see it and his arm around my neck like a choke hold. James is much taller than me. He's about 6'4. Colby is about the same height as him.
"James..please." Everyone has their hands up in defense.
"Don't James please me, Kenzie. You're just a piece of trash. You know that right?" He whips me around so i look at him. Still having the knife in hand.
"James. What do you want." My mom asks crying.
"Kenzie." He smirks.
"No, you're not taking my daughter. Not again James." My dad said.
"Hmm. Well then. Guess i'll just have to do a little bit of thissss.." He puts the blade to my upper arm and makes a gash. I dint scream because he will get mad and do it again.
"JAMES!" My dad yells.
"You don't like that. What about this?" He holds my face up and tries to put him lips on mine but i move my head so he just kisses my cheek. Me doing that got him really mad and Colby looked at him and James looked at Colby. Oh you don't like that Colby do you?" He asked.
"No, now give Kenzie to us. Please. What did she ever do to you? Does this make you happy?" Colby said. No one had their phones besides my mom. I assume she texted 911 because two cops pull up and get out and try to walk to us but James tells them to stop and makes another gash in my leg.
I just want him to kill me now if he's gonna kill me. Just get it over with.
"But the knife down sir!" An officer yelled.
"Please.." I tell James, "If you're gonna kill me, just do it and leave my family alone." I beg.
"No! James! Kenzie!" My mom screams.
  James puts the knife up to my neck and brings it closer and closer. He let's go of one of my arms, the one that's bleeding. And i grab his arm and yank it from my neck and try to run and he gashes my leg again so i fall and he tried to grab me but he realizes the police running to him and he makes a run for it and another few police officers follow. One police officer calls an ambulance. I cry and cry as Colby, Zach and my parents hug me. A few tears shed from all of their eyes. As soon as the ambulance gets there they put me on the stretcher.
"You can have two people with you."
"My p-parents please." They climb in and Colby follows in my parents car behind and Zach takes his car to the hospital.
    We get there and someone tells us they still can't find James. This is gonna be a long night.
