It's the day of my flight to America and Jimin came to see me off.
"Make sure you stay safe. Stay away from any guy. Don't go anywhere alone. Got it?"
"Yes mother."
I roll my eyes and frown.
"What's wrong? Are you going to miss me that much?"
He giggles. He wraps his arms around me.
"That and I'm not going to be here to celebrate our anniversary together."
"We can celebrate when you get back. I'll call you ok?
I nod.
"Be careful. I love you."
"I love you too."
I kiss his lips and board my plane.
15 hours later
I'm finally in America!
I spot my boss and and quickly make my way towards him. We wait for my other co-workers then head to our hotel. I decide to call Jimin.
The phone rings, but it usual doesn't take this long for him to pick up.
"Hello?"
"Hey just wanted to let you know I made it to America safely."
"Ok I gotta go. It's really important. Bye."
He ends the call.
That's weird, I guess it must be important.
I sigh. I'm a bit down since I won't be able to celebrate our 5 year anniversary with him this year. Our anniversary is this Thursday and today is Saturday. I sigh again.
"You alright?"
My co-worker/friend, Joshua asks.
"I'm fine."
"Come on. I know you're not fine."
Why does he know me so well.
"Fine I'll tell you. So Jimin and my 5 year anniversary is this Thursday and we're still going to be in America by then."
He frowns.
"It's ok. He understands that you can't be there."
He pats my back. I smile and nod.
Time skip
Day by day, it gets closer to Thursday. It's been busy since we got here. We've been running around all over the place.
It's Wednesday and we have a photoshoot to go to. I'm in charge of makeup so I have to be there.
I was about to go do the models' makeup but my boss, Jin, called me in for something. I quickly walk towards him.
"Is there something you need?"
I asked politely.
"Yes I need you to get on a plane back to Korea to celebrate you're anniversary with your boyfriend."
I look at him in shock.
Is this a dream?
"Sorry I did I hear you right? I'm going back to Korea?"
Jin nods. I start smiling like an idiot.
"You're flight leaves at eight so don't be late."
"But don't you guys need me after this photoshoot?"
"We got it covered. Joshua said he'll cover for you."
I look over at Joshua who is fixing the model's dress. I bow and thank my boss and head towards Joshua.
I jump on his back.
"Thank you so much! Jisoos has finally answered my prayers!"
"Yeah but you owe jisoos when we get back."
"Yeah yeah yeah. Go back to fixing those dresses."
We giggle.
Hours later I prepare to head back to Korea.
This is going to be the best surprise ever.
