"Oh hey Aph" Dante says when he sees us
"H-hey Dante" she said still a little flustered from the intense moment that just went down.
"Hi Dante" I said as I glared at him. He looked confused. I'll explain it to him later.

"So..." Dante starts ignoring my rude look "I was wondering if you two wanted to got to the movies with me this weekend"

I raised an eyebrow at him trying to figure out what was going through his head.

"I would love to" kitty says brightly. She's so beautiful I couldn't help but stare. Soon I realize I wasn't the only one staring. Her and Dante were both looking at me weird.

"W-what?" I said suddenly self conscious

"Are you coming?" Dante says.
"Oh yeah, of course" I smile awkwardly and kitty giggles. I look over at her
"What's so funny?" I ask

"Your so awkward" she says
I blush hard not knowing if it was a compliment or an insult
"I-I uhh" I say trying to think of something

Why does she make me this nervous. I know there's no chance but why do I still hold onto that glimmer of hope. I hate my heart. It always makes me say things I don't wanna say and do things I don't wanna do. It also confuses me with all these emotions. I don't like it. I just wanna go back to normal.

She laughs again. So does Dante and soon I start laughing to. Eventually we forget what we were laughing about.

"Gene" she says a little more serious than normal. We stop laughing and look at her.
"Y-you can call me Kitty if you want" she paused "I-I kinda like it" she said more quiet and blushed.

"Okay kitty" I smirk. I build up my confidence now knowing that she doesn't hate me. Yes. Old gene is back.

Dante smiled at me. With that look in his eyes I know he is up to no good.

Kitty,Dante and I small talked for a bit before she left saying she had to get home or else she'd have to face the....... chacla? I think that's what she said. What is that anyways?

"So what's really going on?" I ask Dante as he smirks.
"I guess you'll just have to wait until the weekend to find out" I glare at him
"W-what?" He says looking scared
"You know you screw everything up" I said, I coming out more harsh than I wanted it to.
"Wh-what do y-you mean?" He said nervously. I felt bad I was being so mean when all he's been doing is trying to help.

"I was gonna kiss her" I mumbled
"YOU WERE!! Omg why didn't you!" Dante yells while standing up

"Because an idiot came running down the stairs in the middle of it.
"Oh" he rubbed the back of his neck and gave a cheeky smile " sorry about that"
"Its fine" I smiled back at him.
"Anyways you'll have plenty of time for that at the movie" he chuckles as he starts texting on his phone and going up to his room leaving me alone with my thoughts.

I was panicking I didn't know what to wear to the movies. I hadn't had social interaction in a long time considering I stayed home the rest of the week because I was so nervous

I think I'm sweating. Oh god do I need another shower. Does my breath stink. Will she like this outfit better that's this one or-
"Gene hurry up we're gonna be late" Dante yelled from downstairs

"Okay jeez" I yell back
I throw on a nicer looking t-shirt that was plain black. Better than my ripped ones with sculls on it. And I put on some dark jeans without any rips in them. Unlike my others.

I run downstairs and walk out the door to be met with Dante standing outside. We start to walk to the movies considering it's not to far away and we don't have a car.

"So are you nervous" Dante asks me.
"Whaaaat mee, neeeeever"I obviously lied
"You'll do great. I know you will" he says as he gives me a pat on the back.
"Thanks Dante, it means a lot"

We smile and make our way to the movie theater arriving 5 minutes early. Now to wait for kitty.

She finally arrived stepping out of her moms mini van. She looked gorgeous, she was wearing a simple day dress, nothing fancy but she pulled it off like it was a ballroom gown. It was light purple and she had her hair pulled back with a matching headband. She looked amazing and she made my heart flutter just looking at how the moonlight highlighted her features perfectly.

I must've been staring because her head was tilted down and she looked uncomfortable. Dante pulled me by my shoulder to face the other direction.

"What's wrong with you man" he whispered
"Sorry"I whispered back.
He sighed an we faced back to kitty her looking a lot mire comfortable now that I wasn't staring her down.

Just then Dante's phone rung.
"Hello" he said into it. Kitty and I listed closely to hear what was going on.

"Now?" He said
He paused
"Oh okay I'll be there, but you owe me"
He hung up.

"Sorry guys. I guess you'll have to watch the movie without me, Travis called and he needs some emergency lady advice" he said

I blushed hard and my palms started to sweat. That means I would be alone with kitty

Kitty smile looking on the bright side " oh well that's okay we'll have to come again after today so you can come, but for now gene and I will watch a movie alone" she said smiling as if it was no big deal.

"Se ya later guys" he walked away winking at me as he left. This was his plan all along. I guess it did make up for him interrupting us the other day but I was still extremely nervous.

What am I gonna do I'm on a date with kitty???
