After a couple months, me and Sidney are on good terms again and I actually feel like I can talk to her like I used to. That makes me very happy. She also accepted that I was dating Madi. She still wasn't extremely fond of Madi, but she wanted me to be happy. And I am very happy.
Shortly after school ends, my family plans a trip to Washington. They told me that I could go back to Utah with my grandparents for about a day or 2 if I wanted. Obviously I went. I was able to see a couple of my friends and, of course, Madi. I had an amazing time there and I am so grateful that I was able to visit them even for just a day or two.
I got braces and dyed half of my hair blue not long after that trip, and I couldn't wait for everyone to see me like that. Sadly I wouldn't see them all again for about 2 months. Those months went by very slowly. When me and my family finally came down to Utah, it was mainly for my sisters wedding, so I couldn't spend a whole lot of time with my friends and Madi, but that's okay. I actually sang at my sisters wedding. I sang "I Choose You" by Andy Grammer. I was technically singing it for the bride and groom, but I imagined myself singing it to Madi. I had a wonderful time and I'm so happy about it.
