Joseph : Who I was before" main story"

So there has been some controversy over the cult ending with Joseph, and I decided to make a little thing where Joseph goes insane. This maybe a love story. This will have more than one dad in it. Hope you enjoy.

Joseph walked the lonesome sidewalk of the cul-de-sac. It was very early in the morning, and only one who would actually be up was Craig. And that he was awake, stretching before taking his morning run.

" Hey Joseph, Bro!!!!" Craig yelled out across his yard.

Joseph walked over to him. He didn't have the lungs to scream, since him and Mary did that all last night, " hello Craig. Getting ready for your morning run?"

Craig nodded, " yep. Just stretchin' bro. Wanna join me at the gym?"

Joseph tried to find a way to get out of this, but this morning he had no excuse, " well, I guess a little excersice couldn't hurt."

After a few stretches they were on there way to the gym. Craig was far faster than Joseph, but somehow Joseph was catching up, " wow, you're pretty fast bro!" Craig mentioned.

Joseph was basically out of breath, but he didnt let it show, " yeah, I was pretty active when I was younger."

They made it to the gym, " you stopped being active when you had kids?" Craig asked.

Joseph nodded, he was too out of breath to speak.

" Well come on bro. Time to get on that treadmill!!!!" Craig was very enthusiastic. Joseph was surprised Craig's children werent cheerleaders.

Joseph and Craig walked in to the gym which opens at 5 am. It was 4:30, " wait, doesnt the gym open at 5?" Joseph seemed slightly concerned.

" dont worry bro, they always let me in early." Craig reassured.

They started on the treadmills. Next thing you know they were lifting weights and leaving the gym on to run another three miles. Joseph was falling behind. Next was 3 laps around the park, and finally up and down the big mountain. Once the final deathly activity was complete Joseph and Craig sat on the bench in the park.Joseph was basically dying of exaustian. Craig seemed perfectly fine.

" wanna go another round bro?" Craig asked.

Joseph didn't reply. He slowly got up and layed on the ground, " I think I'll just lay here for a while."

Craig got up, " well, I gotta head home now. River and the girls will be waking up soon. See ya later, bro!"

And with that Craig was gone. Joseph still layed on the cool grass and tried to find strength, but he was worn out, " w-water...." He tried to say.

Suddenly a water bottle hit his head, " Ow!!!" Joseph jerked up, to see Robert Small holding a bottle of wine.

Robert chuckled, " hey. Are you dying or something?" Robert reached his hand out, for Joseph to grab. And that Joseph did. He was lifted off the ground, and sat back on the bench.

" why are you out so early?" Joseph asked.

" I could ask you the same thing, Joseph..." Robert replied.

Joseph looked away, " I was going to have a quiet contemplation, but then Craig asked me to work out with him, so there was no quiet time. Except for the empty gym."

Robert laughed, " you must be out of shape." He then sat next to Joseph.

Joseph looked over at Robert, who actually had puffy eyes, " were you crying?"

Ribert laughed, " hey can you turn this wine into water, or is it the other way around?"

Joseph paused, " you avoided my question, Robert. Are you alright?"
