Have You Ever Killed a Man?: Joseph"main story"

Hello again. Another one shot today. Hope you enjoy.

Joseph stood over the dead body contemplating what to do. He was unsatisfyingly calm, due to the circumstances. Robert was freaking out. Joseph had just shot a man... On accident of course.

The man was trying to rob them, and he pulled out a gun. Joseph was a pretty good fighter, so he effortlessly took the gun. Of course the thief had another gun. The thief had shot, and so did Joseph. The man was a bad shot only putting two bullets into Joseph's arm and stomachs. Unlike him Joseph was a much better shot, shooting the man right between his eyes.

Joseph was trembling, but still remained calm.

Robert looked at Joseph's bleeding body, " I need to call 911-"

"NO!!!" Joseph exclaimed, " the police don't need to know about this. I have a first aid kit in my car, please go get it."

Robert nodded and ran to get the first aid kit. Joseph held his stomach, " ow." Tears ran down his face.

Robert came back only to find Joseph on the dirt as well. Robert quickly called 911, and the ambulance came.

At the hospital:

Joseph woke up on a hospital bed. He looked around the room and eyed the doctor at his side, " how did I get here?" Joseph asked.

The doctor smiled, " your boyfriend- Robert- brought you in, he seemed very worried about you."

Joseph blushed, " he- he's not not my boyfriend. I'm married."

The doctor smiled again, " I'm so sorry. He must be your husband then."

Joseph's face was entirely red, " I'm married to a woman. Her name is Mary."

The doctor laughed, " oh I'm sorry. Robert told the nurse to call her. She is outside in the waiting room. So are a bunch of other men and children. Would you like to see her?"

" are my children there too?" Joseph asked.

" oh yes... Would you like all of them?"

Joseph nodded. All his children were there. Even Chrish. Christie hugged her father tightly, " are you okay?"

Joseph nodded, " yes sweetie, the spider king is okay..."

Chris actually looked genuinely worried about his father, " what happened?" He asked looking at the floor."

" I will tell all of you what happened after I speak to the spider queen. Now go sit by uncle Hugo, and read." Joseph explained.

The children walked out of the room, leaving the astranged couple alone. Mary's eyes were puffy, as if she had been crying, " what the hell is wrong with you."

Joseph looked away, " he shot first-"

" What?! No one told anyone about a shooting. Robert said you fell off out of the truck."

Joseph thought to himself * did Robert hide the body? Did he take out the bullets in my body?*, " I meant the shooting pain through my body."

Mary rolled her eyes, " you're a terrible liar sometimes. Tell me what really happened."

Joseph explained what happened. Mary didnt seem phased by what Joseph had done, since it wasn't really his fault, " I see. Well do the police know?"

" I don't know if Robert told the police or not. I told him not to."

" Why? You can just say it was self defense. Robert can testify and-"

" Darling... That would be lying in the court room."

" maybe it won't have to go to court."

" And how do you supposed we do that?" Joseph asked.

Mary smiled, " a woman has her ways. And a woman never tells her secrets."

Joseph nodded, " if you can make that happen, I'm on bored."

Mary nodded.

Soon enough Joseph was out of the hospital and back at home. Suddenly a knock came at the door. A police offier.
