Here's the thing about quests- they're fun for about two hours. Then you realize how wet rain actually is and how not comfortable it is to sit on a horse's back. The horse and I moved along the paths as the rain beat down on our necks. Only about nine more hours of this and we would arrive.
And I would bring Arthur back.
The thought brought little flutters of excitement and anxiety to my stomach.
We rode. The horse clopped along faithfully, it's head bobbing up and down gently as we made our way through the forests. It was almost lonely. By the time that we had only seven more hours to go my backside was completely numb and I could feel the horse's pace slowing. Maybe it was time to stop and take a break.
I pulled the horse to a stop and hopped down to survey my surroundings. There was a stream and several trees and short plants and a soft patch of grass. Everything looked new and alive with spring time. I pulled the horse over to the stream and sat down on the grass, contemplating the quest we were on and watching the horse drink the water.
A slight breeze blew through the trees.
"That feels nice doesn't it horse?" I asked the horse. The horse showed no sign of understanding or even hearing me. Rude.
On the other hand it was a horse and horses don't talk... or understand English... I was lonely.
We rested for another ten minutes then decided to keep going. Clouds had covered the sky and rain was starting to fall once again. The horse clopped on.

"And you know almost no one has ever noticed! I know right sometimes I feel like it is so obvious but people are so blind sometimes."
I ranted to the horse. We had about half an hour left. I patted the horse's neck. He bobbed up and down tiredly.
The rain long since soaked through my clothing. I was now numb to it. I wiped my dripping hair out of my eyes for the millionth time, stretched my bac for the millionth time, and thought of Arthur for the millionth time. I love Arthur.
I thought about a day when we had run away to be together in the forest, he was anxious and stressed and almost in tears. Arthur really cared for his people and he took the decisions he had to make perhaps too personally. He was a great ruler. He will be when he returns.
That made me think; What happens when i do being Arthur back? The people will surely question. Some will most deffinately suspect wichcraft.
These thought barely worried me, Arthur would know what to do.
Finally in the distance I saw the castle point rising above the trees. Where there should have been excitement, there was an unpleasant feeling I could not place. I had to ignore the feeling though, Arthur was waiting.
