"Haeri make sure to bring the things you need on the long train ride to Seoul, understand?" My mother poked her head out by the door, eyeing me with her soft gaze. I swiftly turned around puckering my lips at her.
"I understand mom." I said lightly before she left trailing off with faint footsteps. Before I made sure that the coast was cleared, I posthaste towards Jungkook whom was laying on the ground at the other side of my bed.
"Jungkook! Jungkook!" I cried out with a hushed tone.
Both his ears perked up as he elevated his head, of course his amazingly gleaming icy blue eyes were now scrutinized at me, waiting on what was going to be said.
I've always had been esteemed about Jungkook's astonishing eyes, from the moment I saw him. A plan had been already arranged in my head, hoping this would work out.
"I know this may sound crazy coming from an 8 year old little girl — but! I'm going to hide you inside my backpack, maybe to take you along the trip. I won't let you suffocate inside it so I'm going to zip it half way open for you to breathe." I blurted out anxiously.
The only answer I got from him was typical silence with no answer, what was I excepting from him? Jungkook's a wolf not a dog who can bark to see if he agrees or not. I sheepishly smiled chuckling to myself.
Hurriedly grabbing my yellow solid backpack I didn't really need to pack anything since; we're only visiting halmeoni in Seoul, Bukchon Hanok Village, it wasn't like we're sleeping there for a week or day.
"Okay Jungkook, I want you to hop in here for me." I said quietly pointing at the opened up backpack. Jungkook obliged and hopped onto the bed before trying to crawl his way in.
Before he could even wiggle his way through — the door opened, startling me, with just a split second I found myself pushing the backpack off the bed with Jungkook in it.
That had me rue it because I heard a loud yelp coming from him, as he crashed down onto the floor with a loud thump. My father came in with a questioning look as he rubbed his thumb and index finger on his chin.
"What was that noise?" He asked inquisitively, making his way inside my room. I gulped nervously before opening my mouth to answer.
"I-I just dropped something on the floor- oh look there it is! I found it haha.. sorry dad." I murmured before grabbing a random book that was coincidentally lying on my velvet lace rug. He didn't really give me a believable look, but didn't question furthermore.
"Okay, your mother and I was wondering if you're ready." He said changing his expression on his wrinkling tanned face. I nodded, before adding something in.
"I have one more thing to do and I'll be all set papa. I'll be down in seconds." I briskly said, all he did was nod before leaving me alone in the room. I heaved out a sigh, making my way over to where Jungkook was at.
He was struggling to get himself out of the backpack with his small animal pup figure. I knelt down whispering apologies to him as he growled at me through the backpack, before calming down.
I helped him fix his posture inside the backpack as he found himself laying in a comfortable position.
I hoped this'll work, because I can't trust leaving Jungkook all alone by himself with no food or water — and course not when he doesn't have any supervision from me.
Unzipping it open half way as I carried him on my back as I held onto the black straps tightly making my way out of the room and downstairs where both my parents awaited for my arrival.
"All set?" My mother asked and I gave her a assuring smile signaling her that I was ready to go and excited to visit halmeoni after 3 years of not seeing her.
We left our house and off to Busan's train station to Seoul, Bukchon Hankok Village. Where I had spent most of my childhood there.
I just wish my plan wouldn't get blown off, and praying that I wouldn't get caught by my parents who would probably suspect me and my high-strung or queer attitude.
