"Mom! Let's- Let's buy this!" I struggled to drag her standing physique towards a coruscating necklace with a blue pendant in the middle, as it displayed inside a glass box.

My mother averted her gaze at a ring towards the necklace. She furrowed her brows wondering why I suddenly wanted to get an extortionate necklace.

"Why would you want to buy a puerile necklace that costs ₩400000? It's a bit too much hun." My mother burbled to me. I gave her an implore look, sticking my bottom lip out more as it stood visible in the view of my mothers' eyes.

A deep sharp sigh sprang out of her lips, giving me the No look. I couldn't let her do this now, since that necklace evoked me back to Jungkook's icy blue eyes — whom was completely asleep inside my backpack that was slightly opened for him to breath out of.

I wanted to gift it to Jungkook. He was my only best friend, that kept me going on with my lonely life as an only child. "Please!!" I begged clasping both my hands together.

"Would your father be happy? He's not here to inspect this expensive necklace, we need his approvals first." My mother said shaking her head in a disapproving manner. I let out a groan tugging on her long smoky gray coat. "Jung Haeri would you stop acting this way around public plea—" My mother was interrupted midway through her sentence.

"Excuse me, ma'am?" Someone came up to us so unforeseen and out of the blue. I diverted my figure towards the person, to see the shop keeper whom stood hunched back with a heartily smile plastered on his wrinkling face. "I may assume your daughter must like that necklace?" He said pointing at the one behind me.

"Yes mister! I really want to buy it!" I said my voice filled with enthusiasm. "But... the problem is.. it's too expensive.." I spoke, breathing out the last sentence in a hushed tone. The man chuckled softly before opening his mouth.

"Young girl, not to worry, I may have something just for you." He said turning around going into the back of the shop to grab something. My mother looked at me, I looked back and only smiled grabbing her hand in mines. She slowly returned that smile and clutched onto my tiny ones.

The aged man came back with a beauteous small box that had diamonds decorated around it, as they glinted, reflecting the lights off it. My eyes lit up as lips curved forming a wide smile.

"Mister do you think- this is too much, I can't seem to afford such an exorbitant object like that." My mother said as her brows knotted with shock and admiration towards the small box, which held inside a valuable necklace.

My aged man softly laughed and handed the small box over to me, which I gladly took bowing in respect and thanking him. "This is my gift to you and your daughter. I observed how the way she pleaded for that necklace, but you seemed to have struggle on persuading her a no." He explained the warm smile never leaving his old lips.

"Th-thank you. Thank you so much! That's so kind of you to hand down something that can be offered millions of dollars!" Mother said as she couldn't contain her simper that crawled up on her.

After the incident in the shop we took our leave back to halmeoni's home. Along the way I took a sneak peak at it and saw how the necklace shimmered with a crimson of red. "Wah." I muttered out as we arrived back safely.

"Halmeoni! Father! We're back!" I said quickly taking my shoes off and sprawled inside the small singled house.

Both father and halmeoni were quietly chatting before stopping whatever they were doing and turned their heads to greet me and mother. "Welcome back my granddaughter, how was shopping with your mother at Seoul like?" She questioned and I dove in and snuggled into her gentle embrace.

"It was different." I said making eye contact with her tender eyes, that matched with my fathers'.

"How so?" She asked stroking the back of my head. I thought for a bit puffing out my cheeks in habit.

"I don't know, whenever I get nervous.. I start speaking in. Busan satoori." I said mumbling my words as I go. She nodded understanding my situation, gently stroking my hair with soft streaks.

"It's alright Haeri you'll get used to it once you grow older and move here." She said and soon after told me stories about how she first moved out of Busan to live in Seoul.

Without realizing time had already passed by quickly, my parents decided it was time to take our leave and let halmeoni rest for the day. As we bid our goodbyes we headed to the train station back to Busan.

After long hours of sitting in the train, we made it back home, the freshly baked bread still lingered inside the house intoxicating our senses.

"Haeri go n' wash up, and tuck yourself in bed after, okay?" My father said as he slipped onto his daily slippers. I only nodded my head before sprawling up the staircase and into my room.

Quickly locking the door behind me as I sat on the bed helping Jungkook get out of the cramped backpack. "Kookie, I wanna show you something special!" I eagerly said, before taking the valuable necklace out of the shimmery little box object that held it in it's place.

His head peeked up as Jungkook analyzed the crimson red pendant sitting in the middle of the jewelry. "It's so pretty am I right?" I said before admiring how it was absolutely breath taking. "I wanna give this to you as a gift. I want you to remember me as your grow older, can you promise that?" I said in a puerile manner.

Jungkook didn't say anything, but I guessed his silence tried signaling me he promised as well. Without saying anything, the edge of my lips formed into a curve as I wrapped the necklace around his fur neck.

"Okay, I have to go and wash up, you stay put and don't get yourself caught by my parents." After speaking to him, I walked out of my room closing it behind me and made my way into the bathroom with my ivory towel, draped down my shoulder.

After taking a nice long bath, quickly I scurried back into my bedroom to find it empty. At first I was a bit trepidatious and panicked that Jungkook was no longer in sight, but pushed those thoughts away thinking to myself that he's probably already rested himself inside my toy box.

"Jungkook are you sleeping inside my—" Before I could finish my sentence, I found it empty. That's when I lost it and felt concerned bubbling up inside of me. "Jungkook?" I frantically looked around my room, quietly searching everywhere of where he could possibly be.

I felt frigid and chilly, as wind gushed past me. Turning towards my window, I saw how it was wide open. My eyes felt like they were gonna fall out of their sockets on how they grew large.

My body was in complete revelation. If the window was wide open, then I already knew that, he might've jumped out the window, while I was busy washing myself up.

The full moons' light brightly emerged into my dark bedroom, I felt tears made its way into my eyes. A long low howl was heard from a distance.

But the only sentence that kept repeating itself was, jungkook is gone.
