Chapter 2: New best friend

Justin's POV

I like calling Raegan so I'm going to do that.
Raegan answers.

"Hey Rae"
"Hey!"
"What're you doing??" I say out of curiosity
"Nothing, you?"
"Nothing."
"Justin. I have a question."
"What's up?"
"Do you wanna be..." My heart skips a beat. "My best friend?!"
I pause for a second and think, thank God! "Yes. I would" I grin
"Jay.. you hesitated. If you don't wanna-"
"I didn't mean to. I want to be best friends" I interrupted
"Ok. I'm about to eat. Text me please?"
"Ok best friend"
I hang up.

Raegan's POV
Best friend. Yay. I have a new best friend. I smile and go downstairs

R- Raegan; M- Raegan's mom

R- hey Mom
M- hey sweetie. Who were you talking to?
R- oh. My new friend Justin
M- awe. You made a new friend. That's great! Can I see his social media?
I show her
M- he's famous?!
R- yeah! He texted me first!
M- that's great hun

Time skip

I decided to text Justin (the messages are still in bold)

R- Hey Jay!
J- Hey best fraand!
R- How are you?
J- Good, you?
R- Good
J- Thats good
I don't reply

Justin's POV
Hmm. It's been a while since he texted me back. I'm kind of irritated because of this. I don't know why. We aren't dating. We just met.. what if I like him? Is he even bi? My thoughts get interrupted by my brother opening my door.

"Hey Danny" I say.
"Hey. You okay?" He says concerned
"Yeah. Why?" I say with a confused look
"Because.. you look upset" he frowns
"Nope. I'm fine, Dan" I smile
"Okay.. goodnight"
"Goodnight"
He closes my door

I decide to text Raegan again
J- goodnight Rae
R- goodnight bestie
J- talk to you tomorrow
R- alrighty

I don't text back. I put my phone down and fall asleep.

Time skip

I wakeup. It's Saturday. Raegan has no school today. I don't have to do any online school today! Yay! I'm going to FaceTime him

"Hey Rae" I smile
"Uhh what time is it?" Showing himself
"9:00 am" I chuckle he's so cute
"UGH. Why are you up? It's Saturday."
"Awe. I'm just SO evil, huh?"
"Yes Jay, yes you are!"
"Sorry!" I laugh

Raegan's POV

I'm thinking to myself. Wow he's actually so cute. His smile, his laugh, his eyes. I snap back

"Hellooo?? Raegan?!"
"Oh sorry. I zoned out"
"Oh okay. What were you thinking about?"
I hear my mom calling for me
"My mom is calling for me. Gotta go"
"Okay. Byee"
"Bye best friend"

I go downstairs. My mom is sitting at the table.

"Yeah mom" I look confused
"Rae, can we talk?"
"Yeah, what's up?" I sit in front of her
"So.." she looks nervous "do you like this Justin boy...?
"Well..."
