Princess Adelaide

I walk in between Susan and Peter as we walk through my people. They looked at us all but me mostly.

"Why are they all staring at us?" Susan asks.

"Maybe they think you look funny." Lucy says and I chuckle.

We came to a stop and Peter takes out his sword and raises it.

"We've come to see Aslan." Peter says.

Everyone bows as do I. Soon, my father walks out of his tent and once he comes to a stop, they kneel and bow as well.

"Adelaide Aurora, what have I told you since I was crowned?" Father asks.

"Not ever to kneel or bow to you." I say.

"So why must you do it?" He asks in a playful manner.

I giggle and stand up.

"Come, child. I've missed you." He says.

I smile and run to him and hug him. He chuckles, hugging me back with his paw. Then I stand next to him.

"Welcome Peter, son of Adam. Welcome Susan and Lucy, daughters of eve. And welcome beavers, you have my thanks. But where is the fourth?" Father asks.

"That's why we're here, sir. We need your help." Peter says, sheathing his sword.

"We had a little trouble along the way." Susan says.

"Father, their brother has been captured by Jadis." I tell my father.

"Captured?" He asks me then faces the Pevensie's.

"How can this happen?" He asks.

"He... betrayed them, your majesties." Beaver says.

"Then he has betrayed us all." Orieus says.

"Peace! Orieus! I'm sure there's an explanation." Father says.

"It's my fault really... I was too hard on him." Peter says.

My heart melts then Susan puts a hand on his shoulder.

"We all were." Susan says.

"We will come up with a plan. For now, lets get you all a change of clothes. Come, Adelaide. We have much to discuss." Father says to me.

I nod and follow him to a tent.

"That chest is filled with your dresses and that wardrobe is full of your armor and other clothes. Your weapons are in that other chest. Your potions and spell books are on that dresser. And your bed is right in the middle." Father says.

"Thank you, father. It's beautiful." I say.

"Dress and then meet me at the top of the cliff." He says.

I nod then kiss his head as he nuzzles my face. I giggle then he chuckles and leaves.

No One's POV

Peter Pevensie stared off at Cair Paravel when Aslan approaches him and sees what Peter was staring off at.

"That is Cair Paravel. The castle of the five thrones. One of which you will sit, Peter. As high king." Aslan says to Peter.

Peter looks down.

"You doubt the prophecy." Aslan says.

"No. That's just it. Aslan, I'm not who you think I am." Peter says, looking at the lion.

"Peter Pevensie. Formerly of Finchley." Aslan says, shocking Peter.

Peter had not said one word to Aslan about his full name, his family, or where he comes from.

"Beaver also mentioned that you planned on turning him into a hat." Aslan says.

Peter chuckles at memory.

"Peter, there is a date magic more powerful than any of us that rules over all of Narnia. It defines right from wrong. And governs all our destinies. Yours. And mine." Aslan says.

"But I couldn't even protect my own family." Peter says.

"You've brought them, safely, this far." Aslan says.

"Not all of them." Peter says, sadly.

"Peter. I will do what I can to help your brother. But I need you to consider what I ask of you. I, too, want my family safe." Aslan says, looking down at his people but at one person in particular.

His reason of living. His reason of life. His everything.

Aslan smirks at Peter's love struck. He always knew his daughter would catch the eyes of suitors and the break hearts of all those she doesn't choose.

"Talk to her, Peter." Aslan says.

"What if she doesn't feel the same?" Peter asks.

Aslan chuckles, softly.

"That wasn't what she told me." He says, keeping his gaze on Adelaide as Peter looks his way in shock.

Peter was beside himself in shock. She actually feels the same way he feels?! He looked back and saw Adelaide walk towards the woods.
