Chapter Three: Princess Adelaide

Lucy Pevensie

"Lucy?!" I hear.

I run out with my siblings following me. I see a lioness

"Adelaide?" I ask.

She smiles and I giggle. I run to her and hug her neck. She lays down with me and I rub her head as she purrs. I giggle and lay my face on her cheek.

She nuzzles me and I giggle again. She's so soft.

"Lucy! Get back here!" Susan yells, horrified.

"It's Princess Adelaide!" I say.

"Lucy, that's a lioness!" Peter says.

"Can you turn into your human form?" I ask Adelaide.

"Of course." She says.

We get up and she changed into her human form. She wore a gorgeous dress.

(Ignore the hair)

I saw Peter staring at her.

Aww, he likes her! 😮😱

Peter has a crush! Wait til I tell Susan!

"Hello, Susan, other daughter of eve, hello Peter and Edmund, sons of Adam. Welcome to my father and I's land, Narnia." Addie says.

"Thank you, ma'am. Who are you?" Susan ask.

"I am Princess Adelaide. Soon to be crowned True Queen of Narnia. Once I find a suitable man to rule this land by my side." Addie says.

We heard some movement and all turned to the sound. Addie quickly grabs me and hands me to Peter. She protects us.

She does something with her hands and Susan, Peter, Edmund, and I were in a shield. Addie was outside of it.

"Addie." I say.

"Shh." She says.

I cling to Peter and he held me. Soon... A beaver walks out.

"Oh. Beaver." Addie says.

"Addie. Hello, dear. Been far too long since the last time I saw you. Thank you, again, for saving my life." He says.

Addie laughed and I giggled.

"Lucy Pevensie?" The beaver asks.

I look at the beaver.

"Y-Yes?" I ask.

He hands me a handkerchief.

"Hey, it looks like the hanky I have to Mr. Tumnus." I say.

He says Tumnus at the same time I did.

"He managed to give it to me just before they took him." He says.

"Is he alright?" I ask.

"Come this way. Don't want the wrong ears to hear this." Beaver says.

"He means the trees." I say.

Addie smiles and walks ahead with beaver. I follow her and Peter follows me when Susan stops him.

"What are you doing?" Susan asks.

"She's right. How do we know we could trust him?" Edmund asks.

"He said he knows the faun." Peter says.

"He's a beaver. He shouldn't be saying anything!" Susan says.

"Is everything alright?" Addie asks.

We all turn to her. I can see Peter staring.

"Y-yes. We were just talking." He stutters out then chuckles.

She makes him so nervous. I smile and we follow Adelaide.

"What else can you turn into?" Peter asks her.

"Anything, really. Animal wise. Speaking of, Lucy, would you like a ride?" She asks me.

I nervously nodded. Adelaide then jogs and jumps, turning into

"So beautiful." I say.

She turns and I see scars on her face

"What happened?" I ask, petting her face.

"It was a while ago. Fighting another creature. I'm okay now." She says.

I smile then she lays down. Peter lifts me onto her and then Adelaide stands. We follow her and beaver.
