"I'm thinking of staying here because of-" I was cut off by groans and shuffles beside the cabin. Carl looks at me with fear in his eyes then quickly pushes me into the cabin. "Carl! We haven't cleared this cabin yet!" I whisper-screamed trying to be quiet. "Would you rather be out there where we know for sure there is walkers?" He looked at me with furrowed eyebrows and squinted eyes. I stayed silent and shook my head.
We slowly made our separate ways around the cabin, hunting knifes in hand, when I heard something shift inside of a, what seemed to be, closet. I opened it fast, not bothering to tell Carl about the noise I heard. I was pushed to the ground by a tall walker, my knife being lost in the struggle. "Carl! Carl! Please!" I screamed, the walkers bloody, rotten teeth inches away from my neck. God Carl where are you when I need you? I started to cry, letting out a sob when the walker pushed against me once again, getting closer to my adrenaline filled body. The only thing between me and mortality was my hand pushing against its face, away from the lethal jaws. I finally got the strength to push the foul beast off and stomped my foot into it's face. I put my hands on my knees, breathing hard. I saw Carl run into the room when everything went black.
I woke up sometime later and looked around the room for Carl. I was still dizzy from passing out, I'm guessing that the lack of food and water in my system and the energy I had to use against that walker took its toll on me. I wobbled around the small cabin and found a room lit by a small candle. I let my eyes focus on the room and I noticed it was a kitchen. I started looking through cubbards and drawers trying to find food or anything else useful. "I already checked" I spun around to see Carl standing in the doorway, I chuckled slightly " Well maybe you didn't look good enough" I smirked and reached into the drawer I had open and pulled out a package of crackers. He looked at me with wide eyes and an open mouth, he quickly shut his mouth and said "I obviously knew that was there. I left it for you to find." I laughed and looked at him "Psh sure you did Carl." He stared at me for a while and I waved my hand in front of his face. "Hello? Earth to Carl?" I said, slightly raising my voice. He mumbled something that sounded like "beautiful" I blushed a light pink and turned away. Carl grabbed my wrist and turned me around. " Y/n everything about you is beautiful" I smiled and looked down, I felt him still holding my hand and I blushed more. "While we're alone, I should tell you..." Carl looked at me curiously "I really like you. I know we just met but I'm staying here because, of us."

~Time skip~

It was almost morning when I heard a knock on the cabin door. Carl was still asleep so I figured I would let him sleep. I walked to the door and opened it, figuring it was a member of Alexandria. I opened it to see a rotten looking man with a W carved into his head. I gasped and tried to close the door. He overpowered me and busted through the door. He tackled me to the ground. "Oh are we gonna have some fun" he said in a gravely, sickening voice. I tried pushing him off me but he grabbed my throat and held me down on the wood floor. I tried to yell for Carl but his grip was too tight on my throat. I felt adrenaline rush through my body and used my body to overturn his and he fell to the ground landing on his back. I stood up quickly and put my foot in his throat and pressed down enough to keep him down. "Oh yeah I like it rough too baby" he said in a disgusting tone. "piss off" I took my hunting knife out of it's holster on my hip and quickly stabbed him in the head. Blood splattered out onto my shirt great . I walked into the room where Carl was still soundly asleep, I rolled my eyes at the oblivious boy. I'd have to explain when we walk past the body but he needs to actually be awake and walking first. I shook his shoulder gently to wake him up. "Time to go Grimes"
