I keep running, I turned around to see Vic running towards me, I turned around and ran faster. "Amber wait!" I heard him yell. I couldn't stop, I just needed to be on my own. I turned around one last time to see him getting closer, Just then he looked in front of me "AMBER WATCH OUT!" he screamed pointing in front of him as I turned to see bright lights, I threw my arms up at the brightness, just then I heard the honk of a horn. It was to late, I closed my eyes, and soon I felt the impact of the car hit against me. I hit the hard ground , and just laid there for a second, crying trying to speak, but no words would come out. Next thing I felt were strong arms around me. "AMBER! AMBER! NO, NO, NO! STAY WITH ME!" I could hear Vic scream, but soon I felt myself slipping away. Just then everything went black.
As I awoke, everything was so bright. I looked around. I didn't know where I was. I looked next to me, and froze. No this can't be, this has to be a dream "Daddy! Daddy is that you?" I said in tears. Then I saw where we were. We were sitting up in the tree. "Don't cry Bambi, your okay now. Everything is gonna be alright." I was so confused how was I able to see him or even talk to him. "How is this even pos..." I started to say, then remember I was just hit by a car. I looked up at my dad in shocked. "Where am I daddy?" I asked, looking at him waiting for him to respond. "Well Bambi, your in the next stage of life. Well not fully. You have a choose, you can either stay here, or go back. You have a week to decided. "Come there's something I want to show you" he said grabbing my hand. "Close your eyes." I did as he said. Just then I opened them up. I gasped at what was in front of me. There I was laying in the hospital bed. With all different types of tubes hooked up to me. I looked horrible. "Your in a coma, you hit your head pretty hard, when you hit the ground, you broke your ribs, and your right leg is shattered in three different places." My dad said coming up to me grabbing me up into a hug. I hugged back tight, oh how I missed his hugged. It felt so good to be in his strong arms again.
I stood there crying in his arms for what seemed like hours, finally I went and stood next to my life less body. I looked horrible. My face was bruised all over. I had a bandage rapped around my head. My leg was wrapped up, and they had it hanging in a sling. Wow I should of never ran from Vic. Omg Vic.."what happen to Vic?" I asked. He just nodded his head asking me to come with him, as he walked straight through the wall of the hospital. At first I was scared, so I stuck my hand out and touched the wall, but in stead of feeling the hard wall, my hand went through. I just closed my eyes, and walked through. I opened my eyes, and saw my dad chuckling at me. "Your a spirit Bambi, there a lot of things you can do now. People can't see or here you either." He said as he lead me down the hall. Just off in the distant I heard someone crying, that cry sounded familiar. Who was that? Just then I got closer, and saw my mother on the ground holding on to Vic, on the floor as they cried.
"Why!?, Why!?" My mother cried out.. "Its all my fault, I tried to stop her, I tried to warn her, but it was too late" Vic said starting to cry harder, holding on to my mother. She sure did get out here fast. I looked up to see they were not alone. Everyone was here. They were all sitting around crying. Even Vic's parents were here. What have I done? I should of just told Vic I loved him. I shouldn't of pushed him away. This was all my fault. I was in a coma, because of my stupid actions. I hurt Vic! Maybe , I'm better off staying here with my dad. That way, I don't hurt Vic no more. Just then the doctor walked into the room. "Mrs.Reyes?" He said, as she jumped up, just as everyone else. I looked over to see Kellin holding on to Vic, as the doctor told them the news. "I'm sorry to say that she is in a coma, and we are not sure when she will come to. We are trying everything possible. We are so sorry you have To go through this." He said holding my mother hands.
"Can we see her?" Alex from all time low asked in a soft voice patting Mikes back, as he stood there in tears. "Yes, but one person at a time" the doctor said as he walked away. "Vic you should go first", my mother said looking at him. "I don't think I can handle seeing her, just tell her I love her" she said crying again. Just then Vic's mom came up to her, and grabbed her hand, and took her to sit down. Vic looked at the guys as they nodded there heads. He nodded his head, wiping away his tears, as he nodded back.
* Vic's POV *
How could I have let this happened? Why did I try to kiss her. This was all my fault. She shouldn't be in a coma. That should be me. I wiped my tears away, as I headed back to go see her. I don't know how I'm going to react seeing her like this. Every time I close my eyes I see it all over again, I tried to warn her, but it was too late. "AMBER WATCH OUT!" I screamed, as she ran into the street, just a car came zooming down the street. Then it all happened so fast. She was thrown into the air, as she came down, and hit her head. I ran up to her, as the car zoomed off. "AMBER! AMBER! NO, NO, NO! STAY WITH ME!" I yelled at her, as I seen her eyes starting to shut, she tried to keep them open. She tried to speak, but she couldn't. I held her until the ambulance came. I didn't want to let her go. I just sat there, and cried. They had to force her out of my grip. I got in, and drove with her to the hospital. As soon as we got there, they rushed her to the back, I tried to go with, but they told me to wait in the waiting room. I remember calling her mother. "Hello Vic" she answer the phone all happy.
I just busted out crying.. "Its all my fault, She's not waking up, because of me" I said as I heard mom gasped. "What happened Vic, What happened to my daughter!?" She ask panicking. "She's in the hospital because of me, I tried to stop her, she got hit by a car, because of me." I said as I cried harder. "I'll be there in a couple hours" is all she said, as she hung up. Then I called mike, and told him and everyone was up at the hospital in the matter of minutes. "Excuse me sir, are you lost?" A women said making me come back to reality. Just then I realized that I was just standing in front of her room. "No, I'm here to visit my friend" I said giving her a little smile, as she walked away. I took a deep breath, and put my hand on the door and pushed it opened.
