She didn't know she was asleep until Em shook her shoulder lightly. Maybe she was tired from crying too much. Maybe she was helpless. She hated to think of that at the moment.
Emma gave her a reassuring smile.
"We're here, out of nowhere." Aisling took a look at their surrounding. All she saw was darkness ahead. It was night already, an eerie night instead. The night was starless, only the moon was there, their only loyal company in the pitch-black sky.
They were in the middle of nowhere, perhaps in the woods.
The situation got her nauseous. Emma hugged her. She pat her back softly.
"Don't worry, Ais. Before we arrived here, I texted Will that we're on emergency. I told him the location and if we're not back until tomorrow morning, I told him to call the police." Emma explained.
Aisling wanted to cry. She didn't think that before. She was so relieved she brought Emma too. She was so stupid to not call the police first before deciding to come here.
She wouldn't know what to do without her. Emma was truly her life-saver.
