Do you still love me?

"Beautiful..." Remington said
"Yeah, the view is just breathtaking." I say as we stared out into the night
"I was talking about you." Remington said
I looked at him and smiled, playfully bumping him with my shoulder.
"I don't know wether to hit you or kiss you." I laughed
"Well you could start with this." Remington said as he pulled me in for a hug. He kissed the top of my head but he quickly tenses up.
He pulled away, looking at me.
"You did it again didn't you." Remington said, anger in his voice.
"I don't know what you're talking about..." I say as I avoid eye contact for Remington wouldn't let me go
"Oh don't play dumb Alex!"
Before I could react Remington grabbed my wrist and pushed up the sleeve on my jacket, reveling the injection marks.
"You said you stopped doing this shit!" Remington shouted
"Let go of me!" I struggled to get away but Remington's grip only grew tighter
"No Alex! Not until you tell me why! Why did you lie to me?" Remington shouted angry tears threading to spill from both of us
"Stop it Rem! You're hurting me!"
Remington let go of me and swallowed hard.
"I'm not gonna just watch you destroy yourself Alex!"
"Then don't."
I stormed back inside off the balcony and grabbed my jacket off the hotel bed where I had left it. We were staying here for our 1 year anniversary.
I stormed over to the door and grabbed the handle but before I could open it Remington's voice stopped me.
"Do you still love me?" His voice cracked
My face harden, that was the moment everything inside me died. That little flame of humanity I had, had gone out. I wanted to scream, I wanted to cry. But nothing came. I simply turned around and walked out the door. Into the New York night.
Remington just watched me leave. Frozen in his spot. A single tear sliding down his cheek.
