Sam: You broke up with him because you didn't feel like you could handle losing another person you loved in the hunting life . Watching them ripped apart by something supernatural . You had lost all of your family due to hunting and you didn't wanna lose Sam as well . So when he started being reckless and not really caring if he lived or die as long as the job got done was when you decided you couldn't watch him die . So you broke up with him and moved into your own place the next day . You quit hunting but you did sometimes help Bobby with research .
