Chapter 17

Remus's POV

And in walked...

"Hey Minnie!" I said cheerily and she gave me the glare.

"Will you stop calling me that? It's bad enough that you and your friends did it at school, now Roxy does it!" She said huffily (A/N yes, that is a word)

I just chuckled. "Not, a chance Minnie" I told her and she just rolled her eyes at me.

"Speaking of Roxy, I heard about what happened in your lesson yesterday and seeing as she is in my house, I would like to know what happened. Not the student version that I keep hearing." Minnie said with the tone of voice that clearly said 'Don't mess with me'. So, with a sigh, I told her the tale.

"Well, long story short, we were learning about boggarts and I had one in the wardrobe in the staff room for the students to practice on. So, I taught them the spell, got them in a line and they took it in turns to battle the boggart. Then it came to Roxy's turn and it turned into Christina Periwinkle" I said and Minnie gasped

"Christina? But, she was your wife wasn't she?" She asked

"Yes, but it turns out that I was under a love spell ever since we started dating and she only told me that when she found out that our daughter was like me. Anyway, Roxy's boggart scratched her face and revealed her scar because Roxy had said 'Get away from me!'. Turns out Christina is Roxy's mother. Anyway, so then I got in front of the boggart and sent it back into the wardrobe. Luckily, class ended then so Roxy came up to my office so I could get her something for her cheek." I told her and Minnie had a small smile on her face.

"Roxy's your daughter, isn't she?" Minnie asked quietly

"Yes" I nodded

"Does she know?" Minnie asked

"She figured it out at the same time I did! She's going to come and live with me, I promised to keep her safe and that's what I intend to do." I told Minnie and she was smiling. I don't think I've ever seen her smile so much before!

"Well, you'll make a wonderful father Remus. Also, Severus asked me to give you this to drink for tonight. I take it Roxy will be coming up here to transform with you?" Minnie asked while handing me a goblet that she got from the pocket of her robes and I nodded in response and received the goblet.

"Ugh, this stuff is disgusting"I said the drank the potion. I know it helps but it doesn't stop it from tasting disgusting so I pulled a face. That made Minnie chuckle.

"Well, I'd better be going, oh, and if you want a spell that will do all that marking for you, try 'Corrigendi' It works wonders for me." Minnie said and with that she walked out. Well, I guess it's worth a go.

"Corrigendi" I said while pointing my wand at the huge pile of homework and it started to mark itself. I really need to get Minnie a good Christmas present this year...

Roxy's POV______________________________________________________

We were sat in the common room doing the homework Dad set us.

"Why did he set us this on the first lesson? I don't want to have to think about spiders again! And it's hard!" Complained Ron and I just rolled my eyes at him

"You really need to get over your fear of spiders Ron." Said Harry

"Yeah, I'm sure Aragog would be happy to help you with that" I told Ron with a grin and he looked horror struck

"And anyway, the homework isn't hard at all! In fact, I just finished it!" Hermione said and the boys started to plead her to do theirs. All I could think was that I was glad that Dad was marking this and no-one else.
