Roxy's POV

We all walked up to the common room and as we approached the portrait we could still here shouting from inside.

"I think it would be best not to reveal to Ron that we're going out right now, he'd do his nut!" Fred suggested to me and I agreed, I really didn't want to argue with Ron at the moment. We let go of each other's hands and walked through the portrait hole.

The common room was completely empty apart from Ron and Hermione in the middle arguing, their shouting had made everyone scarper. They both looked at us four and stopped arguing.

"Do you think you could lower your voices? We'd quite like to go to bed now and we don't want to be disturbed by your shouting." Harry said, sounding annoyed and I was taken aback, I have never heard Harry speak like that before! Ron just glared at Hermione and stormed off to bed and Hermione ran up the girls staircase, the others couldn't hear it but I could hear her crying upstairs.

"I do feel bad for Hermione, she was just looking out for Harry but it would help if she didn't argue with him every time they met." I said, thinking aloud and the boys just nodded their heads.

"Right, I'm off to try and calm Ron down, night guys" Harry said

"Night Harry" Me, Fred and George replied as Harry walked up the staircase.

"I think I'll go to bed too, all that laughing before has tired me out!" I said

"Okay, I'm going to bed too, night Roxy" George said and he ran up the boys staircase

"Night Roxy, sleep well" Fred said, pulling me into a hug which I happily returned. He kissed me on the forehead and we both walked up our respective staircases, with me grinning like an idiot.

I walked into the dorm room grinning and Hermione just looked at me like I had grown an extra head. I just shrugged at her and pulled my pyjamas on and got into bed.

"Night Dad" I thought in my head, talking to Dad

"Goodnight Roxy, sweet dreams" Dad replied in my head and I smiled, rolled over and sunk into a dreamless sleep.

The next morning Ron and Harry went to visit Hagrid and Hermione wanted to be alone for a while so I went to go and visit Dad.

I ran up the staircase leading to Dad's office and I bumped into McGonagall.

"Where are you rushing off to in such a hurry Roxy? You need to slow down or you will knock someone over." McGonagall said and I was very tempted to give her a look that clearly said 'with my senses do you really think am was going to bump into someone?' But I didn't need to, she realised and just shook her head.

"I'm off to see Dad, Hermione's studying and Ron and Harry went to see Hagrid so I thought I'd pay Dad a visit." I explained and Minnie actually smiled!

"Well, in that case I'll let you run, but just this once!" She told me and I grinned

"Thanks Minnie!" I said and ran off before she could tell me off for calling her Minnie.

I knocked on Dad's door and heard him say come in so I walked through the door.

"Hey Roxy, how are you?" Dad said, walking over and giving me a hug.

"Fine thanks Dad, you?" I replied, returning the hug.

"I'm good, how's Fred?" Dad asked with a smirk on his face. What the hell?! How did he know? He obviously saw the surprise on my face and chuckled.

"You should really learn how to not project your thoughts that you want private, I don't particularly want to hear how cute Fred is at three o'clock in the morning." Dad said with a cheeky smile and I face palmed.

"It's not my fault! The last time I was able to speak or you in my head was when I was a year old, don't be surprised that I can't control it, I'm new to the whole projecting thoughts thing!" I told him exasperatedly and he dropped the subject, I think I might have upset him by mentioning that I haven't lived with him for most of my life. Dad went into the kitchen to make us both a hot chocolate and I looked for a book on his bookshelf.

"Here you are" Dad said and he placed my hot chocolate on the table and be sat down in an armchair and I drank my drink and got a book out his bookshelf and sat on Dad.

"Oof, you're a bit heavy you know!" Dad said when I sat on him and I laughed at him then suddenly went very serious.

"Never insult a girls weight Dad, or they might just rip you're head off" I told him very seriously and Dad just rolled his eyes and summoned a book for him to read. I sat sideways across his knee with my legs dangling over the edge of the chair and we both sat reading our books. I had 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard' and Dad was reading something about defence against the dark arts. We had a peaceful afternoon of reading until it was disturbed by everyone's favourite potions professor...
