Roxy's POV

An owl flew through the window and dropped a letter on my lap then flew off. I gulped, that was Mother's owl. I tentatively reached for the letter and my hand started to burn! I ran out of the hall and straight up to the dormitory and sat on my bed. I dropped the letter and blew on my hands to cool the down then I opened the letter.

~Freak,

Where the hell are you? You were supposed to come home for Christmas! That's why I put that little, spell, on the letter. How are your hands now? Severely burned I should hope. When you get home, you are in for a world of trouble. You can forget about going to Hogwarts again. If you don't reply within the next two days or your excuse isn't good enough, I will come and get you from that blasted school myself. Watch your back daughter, I'm coming for you either way, you should be scared.

Mother~

I dropped the letter and hugged my knees to my chest. I wasn't crying, I was in shock. I thought Hogwarts was the safest place in the world but Mother could get me here too? Was there no way I could be safe? I would have to reply but I'm going to tell Dad and Dumbledore first, to see if they can keep them out of the castle. I walked back down to the Great Hall and luckily, it was just the teachers and 'Mione left there. Minnie looked troubled and so did Hermione but Dad spotted me and came over to me.

"Are you all right? What was all of that about?" He asked, concern etched into his prematurely lined face. With a shaky hand, I handed him the letter. It didn't seem to burn him and as he read the a number of emotions ran across his face, anger, pity and finally, fear. He swallowed and said,

"I think we need to speak to Dumbledore". I just nodded and we walked over to said wizard. He was in a deep conversation with Snape but when we came into earshot (which was quite far away) they stopped talking and Snape walked back to his dungeon. He really does look like an overgrown bat, I thought to myself and Dad chuckled.

'Whoops, didn't mean to say that out loud or did I project my thoughts without realising it?' I asked Dad through our link

'You projected it but don't worry, I won't tell!' He replied and I smiled. We reached Dumbledore and Dad started to talk.

"Albus, I'm afraid we have quite an important matter to discuss, it concerns Roxy's safety. I think you had better read this, it's from Christina" Dad told Dumbledore and gave the letter to hi. Dumbledore read the letter and his expression was grave.

"I get the feeling that Christina is not going to react well to telling her that you have found your father, Roxy" Dumbledore said to me.

"Well, I know that but what else can I tell her? She will most likely find out anyway but is there a way to stop her from entering the castle?" I asked

"I'm afraid we can't stop her from entering the castle while she is legally your guardian, and to make Remus your legal guardian she has to give her consent. However, if we let her into the school, it could give you, Remus, the chance to get Roxy into your custody" Said Dumbledore, his eyes twinkling merrily away. Me and Dad looked at each other then said

in unison,

"How?" And Dumbledore chuckled, he reminded me of Santa. I made sure not to project that thought otherwise Dad might start laughing then he would look like a maniac...

"Well, she would be forced to face you two at the same time, you could convince her to sign the papers which would swap guardianship which are up in my office, if that is what you wish." Dumbledore said.

"Yes it is!" Me and Dad said together.

"Wait, why do you have the papers in your office?" I asked and Dumbledore just chuckled merrily

"There are many things in my office that people would find out of place but they turn out useful in the end, that is why I keep almost all of my possessions as I believe everything has a purpose, we just don't know what that purpose is at the time. Now, Roxy, I believe you should owl telling your Mother that if she wants to know why you stayed here, she would have to come to Hogwarts to find out. It would be safe seeing as the other students don't come back for another two weeks. Good day to you both and a very merry Christmas!" Said Dumbledore and with that, he walked away and went up to his office. (A/N I hope I portrayed Dumbledore well!)

"Before you send the letter, I just have to know, are you sure you want to live with me? I know I suggested it ages ago but are you completely sure?" Asked Dad, looking hopeful but doubtful at the same time, how does he do that?

"Of course I do! Do you really think that I would go back to Mother given the choice?! Also, I've had fun spending time with you!" I told him and he smiled

"Well, okay then, write the letter and tell her, I'm sure we will know when she is here. Just don't worry." Dad said.

"Okay, I won't, now, I'm going to find Harry, Ron and 'Mione, just in case a world war has broken out over a broomstick!" I told him and we parted ways and I headed up to the common room to hear Ron shouting.

"How could you! That's the best broom in the world and now it's been taken away before he can even ride it!" Ron shouted and I walked through the Portrait hole.

"Well, I think, and McGonagall agrees with me, that the broomstick could have been sent to Harry by Sirius Black! He could have cursed it and Harry life would be in danger!" Hermione screeched which hurt my sensitive ears. I turned to Harry and asked him what was going on.

"Well Hermione has been a selfish -" Ron started but I cut across him.

"I asked Harry, not you. Now, Harry, I'll ask again, what's going on?" I said

"Hermione told McGonagall about my broomstick because it had no note and they both think that the broom was sent by Sirius Black so they're going to, strip it!" Harry said, turning pale towards the end of the sentence.

"But an escaped convict couldn't just walk into a broom store and buy a broom so it can't be him!" Ron shouted and Hermione looked as if she was about to cry so I gave her a one armed hug.

"Ronald Weasley, I can't believe you care more about a broomstick than your best mates health! At least Hermione was being a good friend and looking out for Harry! The broomstick could have been sent from Sirius! He could have ordered it under Harry's name but used his own vault, as muggles' say, there's more than one way to skin a cat or in this case, a Harry!" I said but Ron cut across me

"But what if it wasn't from Black? Then Harry's broom would be stripped for no reason and it would be her fault!" Ron argued back and I got even madder.

"WELL AT LEAST SHE WAS BEING THOUGHTFUL AND DOESN'T WANT HARRY DEAD! THINK ABOUT HARRY AND NOT THE BROOMSTICK AND STOP BEING SO STUPID!!" I yelled and Ron, Harry and 'Mione looked taken aback. I can shout very loud.

"Fine." Said Ron and I just nodded

"Come on 'Mione shall we go to the Library?" I asked and she nodded and we walked off.

"What are we going to do in the library? We've already finished our homework" Hermione said

"Well, I need to write a letter to a certain Mother of mine and the we can work on finding some defence for Buckbeak" I suggested and she nodded. I felt so bad for Hagrid and Buckbeak. It was all Malfoy's fault, the git. But I got him back for that with the twins, it really was a spectacular sight, seeing Malfoy in Pink robes and Purple hair!
