The next several days were a bit tough, the same routine of getting up, preparing for rigorous training, walking the twins feeding and bathing them, then dressing them and packing extra t's it was nice to not have to worry about the rent or anything of the sort, or even having to find a client to balance out the expenses I had a bit more time left before I went back to that stress.
I hadn't seen the guy with the green eyes since he helped me with getting in the apartment, it crossed my mind that he had saved me about twice and I yet to know his name, I didn't even know he was in the camp with me and wondered which school he was going to, maybe it was a rival school or maybe it was just a far away one.
I shrugged my shoulders and turned in the pool continuing my laps, the coach stood on the end of the pool in a bathing suit with a jacket tied around her waist, she blew the whistle every time we touched the end of the pool, I had a feeling that this was another one of her endurance training.
As I turned around I could see the twins sitting at a nearby table watching me train, my muscles were pulling and I was really tired but the smiles on their faces as they cheered really made me want to go on forever. The thought crossed my mind that this was how our lives were supposed to be, I should be able to relax and just focus on my schooling and sports and spoiling the twins and they should always be filled with happiness.
But was life could be cruel and I learned that very quickly the day I watched my dad walk out on us, I was maybe two years old but I remember him saying he was sorry and kissing me on my head and then he was out the door, I was at home alone for the rest of the day and then my mom came home saw me and she asked me where papa was and then that was it.
For years it was just the two of us living in that small apartment and things were passable then she started to date some guy who's face I can't even remember, they lasted for a year, my mom was happy and he was helping to take care of me and then one night I heard my mom tell him she was pregnant and a week later he was gone, and then the twins came and our lives began a downward spiral.
My mom worked through out her pregnancy taking odd jobs, and I helped doing anything I can to plan for the twins but then she couldn't work for the last two months of her pregnancy and a few months after the twins were born and so we ended up moving to the apartment we now lived in, then my mom went back to work and I took turns helping her with the twins or we would ask the neighbors and if they couldn't handle it we would call someone.
I stopped being able to do odd jobs because of my classes and my sports and getting a normal job or even a part time job was hard considering I was still in high school so I didn't yet have my diploma and because of the neighborhood we lived in there was limited available job and if there was an opening it would be snatched away by someone older and more experienced.
So when things got really bad and my mom had to make the decision to either pull me or the twins out of the school I found a weird poster and then a few weeks later I had begun what I did now, it was painful but the money was good and I was able to keep me and then twins in school and help with any other bills that my mother couldn't handle that included hospital bills whenever the twins got really sick and that was a lot.
I remember when my mom was pregnant she used to talk to me about what if she gave the twins up to child care or something but then she said she knew a few people that lived in the system and they never said nice things about it, so she promised she would keep them with her no matter what and that was exactly what she did.

By the time we got out the pool two hours had passed and everyone was shriveled, I left the twins with the coach and went to rinse off and change into my clothes and shoes, I grabbed up my bag and then headed out back to see the coach had pulled on her jeans and a jacket over her suit and had tennis shoes on, I picked the twins up and we were all off to share a lunch before heading to the beach to do some more training.
The twins chowed down on creamy pasta with sausage and a glass of milk while I had to eat a lot of beef stew rice and drink juice, everyone on the team ate something heavy so it would last through out the rest of the after noon, by the end of it I had to wash the twins face and arms and change their t shirts, I even had to scrub some food out of their pants and the rest of the team started calling me mommy Jae.
We moved to the beach and the twins went to build a sand castle, the coach made us bury our feet in the sand and then told us to pass the ball, you had to pass it to the person who's name she called, sometimes they were right next to you other times they were almost too far away to catch the ball without issue, the sun was going down by the time we finished our training and we had to rinse off before going back.
When I went back I saw the coach speaking with a few of the team members so I looked over at the sandcastle to get the twins but the only thing I saw there was their packs, I ran over and looked around grabbing up the packs, I looked around and called out to them but there was no answer and they were nowhere insight.
The coach and everyone began looking for them some even heading to the water to see if the twins had headed off there, I headed towards the boardwalk a few of them coming with me and the coach went in the other direction with the rest. We called for them and some of the team mates asked around, by this time my hear was beating out of my chest and I felt so sick as I prayed that nothing had happened to them.
I swore we had been searching for at least an hour before I heard Mia call my name, we all ran over to see her sitting on a bench happily licking a cone as Liam enjoyed a chocolate creamsicle, I rushed over to them and checked to see if they were okay and that made them giggle Mia told me my hands were cold.
I looked across from them to see two girls and about six guys staring at us with curious stares, one of the guys leaned forward and looked at me "these yours?" I nodded and he smiled "found em wondering around the boardwalk and no one seemed to know them so we just decided to get them something to eat and wait and see if their parents would show up, while one of us went to look around."
I rubbed the twins head and they laughed before going back to their treats "yeah thanks so much for finding them, I nearly had a heart attack when I looked around and couldn't see them, you have no idea the horrible things that were running through my mind."
"No problem, we did what we could... but it is a bit of surprise to find out their dad is a kid."
My eyes winded and the guys on my team laughed "I'm not their dad I'm their brother, their here at the basketball camp with me." the guy said a quick sorry and looked away awkwardly before laughing when one of my team members shouted mommy Jae, the twins threw their heads back and mimicked them and I sighed.
"Oh guy calls coach and let her know we found them."
"Oh yeah we should call Andrei, he's probably still looking." one of the girls said and pulled out her phone "I can't believe we forgot him." they all laughed and she got on the phone speaking to the person.
My teammates decided they would join up with the set that found the twins because they two had been attending the camp and the conversation just got wilder and wilder, they even brought food and drinks with the coaches permission, so my entire team of fifteen and their about seven of their member who had went out sat and had a loud conversation that disturbed everyone of the boardwalk.
