Tbh, it was pretty lit and rlly fun. I wish some Polys that I'm friends with on wattpad could be there so that they could see our ppl dancing and performing on stage. Just to have fun.....also lowkey the boys over there were HELLA hot and cuteee 😂😍😩
This one boy at the vendings would look at me whenever I walk by and omlll he had his shirt offf.....lmao😂😂 buh anyways some of the things at the PolyFest was rlly cool and oml the food was AMAZINGG
They had:
• Spam musubi😍
It consists of seaweed wrapped around rice and spam. (Its like sushi but with Spam but BETTER)😂😍❤ and it's a Hawaiian dish
• Poifala (they didn't have it this year but it was good last year)
Fala in Samoan means "Pineapple" so it's a drink that actually has pineapples in it. And you actually have a straw that is big enough to drink the pineapples too.
• Mango juice
It's like poifala but it had mangos in it. And in my opinion it was good at first but as I drank more it was becoming to much.
• Shaved ice
It's just ice and you get to put any kind of flavors (lmao)
• Oka (I didn't see any but I had some last year)
Oka in Samoan means fish (or raw fish...I forget...lmao) but it's really good with coconut milk and some little veggies like, onions n etc.
• Palusami (I didn't see any either but I ate it yesterday (8/05) and last year)
Palusami is like a "vegetarian" dish. (That's what my dad said) It consists of coconut milk chopped up with onions (this is what my dad made). It was then poured into taro (or I think banana) leaves and wrapped up in foil paper. Once it was done the leaves in there you mix it up with the coconut milk and there you have palusami. Palusami can also go good with Galo or fa'i.
• BBQ
I didn't try it cuz i mainly had spam musubi...lmao but I bet it was amazing
• Funnel Cakes
I didn't have some either but ik it was gooooddddd😩❤
And that's all the food I saw and ate over there. But, the dances were pretty lit and amazing.
They had this Samoan dynasty group and man it was live over there.... they played the Samoan Version of Despacito which is called "Se Tautino" (look it up on YouTube cuz it's a good song.)
And they had the money dance while playing "Siva Samoa" (I think but I heard those words in the song) and everyone got up and put money on the stage...it was truly amazing.😭❤
They also had this Tahitian dance group perform a dance from a story of a goddess. It was amazing at first but as it got more into the story I couldn't pay attention cuz it was mainly dances and I don't even know how it ends....lmao😭😂
My favorite part was the fire dances at night. My dad's friend son performed his and messed up a bit but in the end it was still awesome. I have a vid I think but I'll post it later cuz it won't let me post it on here.

This happened and I thought it was funny:
On my bday (08/04) there was this guy who looked cute. He walks by and stands right next to my sis who was sleeping. And he walks away. He then comes again and then he was like,
"Hello, whats your guys names?" He said.
"My name is Tala" My mom says.
(I could already tell that my mom doesn't like him)
And then my sis wakes up and he asked,
"What's your name?" While reaching his hand out.
"Tuli" she says.
And then he reaches his hand out and asks the same question.
"Fesili" I said and I shook his hand.
And man his grip was firm but his hands were soft....lmao
My mom asks, "What's your name?"
"Tau-taga" He smiles.
"And what's your last name?" My mom asks him.
"Ma-i" he says.
"Ours is Iosefa" my mom laughs.
He asks, "Are you guys Samoan?"
And my mom says, "Yes"
"Me too." He laughs.
He then asks, "Are you guys from or somewhere else?"
My mom replies, "From here."
He said, "Oh, I'm from Penslyvania."
He continues, "And i had to come all the way down here."
We all laughed.
He says, "Well, it was nice meeting you all. Tofa!"
And yells, "MANUIA!"
I was so weakk, it you were there, it was funny to me.
I then see him the next day, he had his hair down (it was real poofy.) And was wearing a green lavalava and was shirtless. I was weak cuz of the day before and then I saw his face and he has glasses on and I saw him smoking.
I went to my mom and sis sitting down watching the festival and told them what happened and my sis said, "Yeahh.....nopee" I was weakk again.
But, yea that's what happened and what was at rhe PolyFest.
It was an amazing experience that i wish i could share with you all personally. But, til then....TOFA!✌❤
