Making her way down to breakfast the next morning, Amy soon came face to face with a very red eyed Carlos. It was obvious that he hadn't gotten much sleep and that he had been crying. They exchanged glances and Amy wanted to say something but knew that she needed to do that in private. Sitting next to him, she smiled and quickly hugged him, seeing a smile gently form on his face.
"Thank you for being there for me last night", Carlos whispered. "It's nice to know that you are still my friend".
"And why wouldn't I be?", Amy replied, looking slightly puzzled.
"Because of all the stupid things I have done", Carlos replied, not being able to look Amy in the face. It was obvious that he had been doing a lot of thinking over-night and he appeared embarrassed by his previous actions.
"How about we start again?" and Amy reached out her hand and shaking Carlos' started to giggle as she spoke. "Hello, my name is Amy. It's a pleasure to meet you".
Carlos was also laughing as he replied. "A pleasure to meet you too darling".
Breakfast over and it was the now familiar loading of bags onto the bus and it setting off for the next destination of the tour. Turin. Amy curled up on the sofa with her head resting on Seb's legs as he read. It seemed like no time at all before she was being roused from sleep and making her way from the bus and into another hotel. As much as she was loving the tour, her hormones were desperately trying to make her grumpy.
Alighting from the bus, everyone was soon ensconced in their respective rooms and it was long before Amy was dragging Seb along to go and see her beloved Turin shroud. It didn't take them long by taxi to reach the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist. Entering, Amy was amazed. She was staring at a length of linen cloth that allegedly bore the image of Jesus of Nazareth. Both Amy and Seb stood there, amazed at what they were seeing. Amy had never really considered herself a religious person but this was a time that she would never forget. She found herself wishing that the three amigos had been there with them.
Wandering outside, they both found a small gift shop where Amy bought some trinkets and sitting down to lunch in a small café, began to chat to Seb. "How could anyone ever get tired of this?".
"How do you mean?", Seb replied, beginning to smile as he saw the look of fascination on Amy's face.
"Travelling the world, seeing all these amazing places and meeting so many new people. Isn't this perfect?".
Seb's smile grew, if that was at all possible. "Yes Amy. I believe that you are correct there. I love every minute of my life and now that you are with me, it makes everything perfect. I can't wait for us to be married and to have our baby".
Amy started to laugh. "I cannot wait either because my hormones are all over the shop. One minute I am a happy bunny and the next, I want to scream and shout. One thing though. I think that I have come up with the best wedding plans ever. I hope that you will like them".
Seb began to laugh. "Ok, I'm sure that if they are anything like how you have organised this tour, then you will have sorted everything down to the last detail. I cannot wait for you to become Mrs Izambard".
"And I think your full of it", Amy laughed in response. "But you can admire me all you want and I truly cannot wait to become Mrs Izambard either".
Walking hand in hand, through the streets of Turin, they soon became lost in their own world until, glancing at her watch, Amy noticed that they had better make their way to the Turin Olympic stadium. The venue for that night's concert. Twenty seven thousand would be there that night and Amy had to laugh when she heard that it was the home of the Torino football team. As they rode in a taxi, Amy couldn't help but message David and Urs. "Are we doing Il Divo concerts in every place that has a football team that you want to meet?".
