Chapter 14
"Aspen, kitten time to wake up." I faintly hear one of the voices of my mates in my ear.
"Five more minutes." I moan and turn over. I couldn't have slept more than a few hours.
Cam laughs before saying, "We have some news about your father."
I shoot up after the word news. For however long I was asleep my mind was at peace. I don't even remember dreaming. If I did dream they would have turned into nightmares. Horrible nightmares about my father. Who knows where he is and what he might be going through.
"What time is it?" I ask Cam as I sit up.
"Late afternoon." He answers with a smirk.
It can't be late afternoon. That doesn't make any sense unless I slept for a whole day. Paul was suppose to wake me when Cam was done with his search. My word my ass.
"I'm going to kill him. He promised he would wake me." I say aloud.
"Good let's go. I've been waiting for you to be on my side. He's in the library." Cam says excitedly.
I'm beyond pissed at Paul for not waking me up. Cam follows me to the library where Paul is. We pass a few pack members and Oliver on the way but I don't stop to make small talk. Not that I have to worry about that. As soon as they get a glance of my eyes they know not to approach me.
I push open both of the heavy wooden doors and they slam against the back of the wall. "Paul!" I roar when I don't seen him right away.
"I know you're angry but just let me speak before you-." Paul says as he walks into view from behind a long book shelf.
"Angry? I'm beyond angry." I yell as I walk closer to him. "You promised you would wake me. My father is all I have. I don't have both of my parents so excuse me if I want to find the only living one."
"I only meant for you to get some rest. The news Cam has isn't much to go on so it was no use in waking you up."
I look for something to throw at him but nothing is in reach. "What do you mean it isn't much? What did you find?" I ask Cam.
"I thought we came here to kill him." Cam says genuinely disappointed.
"Cam!"
"Alright, well for one your father did leave California sometime ago. From what I gathered he was heading east but that's all. No one has seen him or heard from him since."
Not what I want to here. I turn and walk out of the room with no words. I have nothing to say to the lack of information my mates have come up with. I can feel the both of them following me but not stopping me. I have no idea where I'm going or what I'm about to do until I see him.
"Ollie." I call once I enter the living room where he is and so is Constantine.
Oliver stands and gives me his full attention. "Yes Aspen?"
"Can you find someone who is missing without having a trail or anything to go other then the fact that their in the area?"
"What is she up to?" I hear Cam whisper to Paul.
"I don't know." Paul answers.
"I would need blood, who is it that I'm looking for?"
"My father."
"I thought your mates where looking for him?" Oliver asks me but his glaze is on my mates.
"They can't find him. So how does it work, how much blood do you need?"
