Chapter 12.1
With my dresses bought and being shipped I have to move on to the next step, getting the food for two separate dinners.
The way things are going Cam and Paul they won't want to spend any time together even if it's both of their birthdays. Even if I begged them they won't agree, things are different this time. This time I don't know what to do to fix it.
I exhale deeply before getting up from the computer. I have to get the babies ready to come with me to the market. I head over to their room to get them ready.
Mia is the only one up when I enter the room so I feed her and get her ready before her brothers. I dress her in a lilac dress and matching shoes. I brush her blonde hair and put it into a ponytail with a bow.
After sitting Mia in her highchair I wake up Cesare. He is still a little sleepy once I'm done feeding him and dressing him so I lay him back down in his crib.
Next is Killian who is awake now. I do the same to him but dress him in blue instead of green the color Cesare is wearing.
Once done I call Nate, Bass, and Stark for help. I don't know what my mates are up to but I want to surprise them so I have to move fast.
"You called, Luna?" Bass asks with a hint of annoyance. I ignore it.
"I need help getting to the car and a few of you to come with me to the market." I say.
Nate arches his eyebrow at me, "Do the Alpha's know?" He inquires.
"Do they ever?" Bass jokes and Stark punches his older brother in the arm.
"No. I'm surprising them."
"Of course you are."
"Is there a problem, Bass?" I ask walking up to him.
He smirks. "Not at all Luna."
I cross my arms over my chest, "Good, let's go."
Bass picks up Killian and Stark does the same with Cesare. I carry Mia out to the SUV while Nate holds the doors and starts the car.
After a twenty minute drive Nate goes over the "rules" of being in public and staying close to them. I nod my head and pretend to pay attention. This is nothing I haven't heard before.
"What are you shopping for?" Stark asks as he pulls out two shopping carts.
I sit Mia and Cesare in the double child seats and Killian walks close to my side but I know he wants to roam this new place. "Dinner. Cam likes steak and Paul likes chicken." I answer.
"Okay. The chicken and steak should be in the same area. I'll get them stay with Nate and Bass." I nod at him.
I guess he too doesn't agree with me leaving the temporary pack house with no okay from the Alpha's.
Killian holds on to my hand as I search for vegetables to go with each dinner. Nate and Bass are staying close to me like they should. There's no need. I sense no threat, plus this is all Cam's original pack territory.
"Almost done?" Bass asks.
"Yup." I say.
Stark appears with the meat and we head for the checkout. The market is pretty empty and quiet but I guess it would be because of the time. It is early in the morning.
Nate helps me place the items on the moving machine while Bass and Stark guard the pups. I pay and we leave with no problems.
A chill runs over me as I'm about to get in the SUV. I turn around quickly but I see only humans getting in and out of cars, pushing carts. Nothing supernatural. Maybe I spoke to soon about the no problems part.
