Dinner was hell. Everyone was looking at me trying to figure out why I wasn't sitting besides Damien and who was the female that was sitting with Damien. I bet more were even wondering why I was sitting with the most feared alpha family in our world. Saying nothing I keep my head held high and looked forward. I broke more inside when Damien stood and cleared his throat. Everyone turned their attention to him as started to speak.

" Thank you all for coming to this joyous occasion. I have found my mate. Serenity. The infamous daughter of the most feared alpha. Alpha Shadows. She will be your luna and I expect you all to respect her just as you've respected Areaia." Damien states.

" Well Areaia earned our respect over the course of years because we were against you being with someone that wasn't your mate and now your mate will have to do the same Damien. I speak for everyone when I say this. We can't see you with anyone other than Areaia but we are all open and are willing to give your mate a shot but understand there will be some that will be weary of her. " States Andrew the feature beta.

"I know that Andrew." Cuts in Damien

"Damn bro let me finish. I'm happy for you and congrats man." Andrew finishes. She then stands up and takes Damien's hand. " I see that from how your beta is acting I do have big shoes to fill." Serenity states with a giggle. 

" I promise to you all that i'm going to stand by you and I pledge to be loyal to you. I plan to sit down with Areaia and discuss the best  and easiest way to transition me into the pack and its activities. Areaia already told me I've have to gain your trust and be present to prove to you i'm not a threat. I see now from how the beta reacted that she knew her pack not only as a member but as someone you looked to to be your luna. I am grateful to her for standing in my place as I was not present." Serenity states as she looks over at me with a smile. I smile back and to appease the pack I stand to my feet and so that all can see me and I bow and tilt my head to the side to show my submission to her. She as well as the others of our pack all gasp in shock. As I stand, I look around to see all the other pack members have done as I have and submitted to her as she was now our luna.

It hurt but it had to be done or the pack wouldn't welcome her if I hadn't. I had to do the right thing for the pack and back down. After submitting to her I took my seat as did everyone else. All other announcements were given and then everyone was served dinner. After dinner and a night of dancing and conversing, when the moon was at its peak we all moved outside so that the succession ceremony could begin. It was a beautiful ceremony, the alpha and beta stepped down and their sons took over. It was if the Goddess herself accepted them with how they were glowing when the titles were passed down. When the ceremony was over and Damien was alpha he howled and the pack howled with him. He then transformed and took off with the beta behind him and his mate next to him. It hurt more but I just stood back and watched as the rest of the pack as well as the guest that came change into there wolves and ran behind the new alpha. I stayed behind knowing that I was in no mood to shift and run even if could.

I just turned around and walked to my  home knowing fully well that I was being followed by her brother. For whatever reason he had made it his business to stick close to me and I didn't really like it. It was like he knew but I made no move to push him away or even acknowledge his presence but I never let my guard down. I didn't trust him and neither did my wolf. So when I got home I walked in and locked my door, going into my kitchen I made something to drink and then walked back outside to see him sitting comfortably on my porch chair. Not saying a word I sat down and offered him the drink. Sitting back I drank from my mug and let the warmth from the hot chocolate envelope me. Not saying a word we sat in silence. It was nice but I wanted to know why he was here or why he was suddenly attached to me.

After another 5 minutes of silence I finally asked " What do you want?" 

"Nothing just thought i'd see your breakdown but surprisingly your not having on and its kind of annoying but at the seem time intriguing. I thought you'd be mad that you'd lost your meal ticket and your status but you seem to genuinely don't care. Why is that?" He asked.

"I don't care about my status. I love him but I knew that this could happen. I knew and I still dated him, fell in love with him, and even gave myself to him. Only to watch you sister walk into the room and watch him look at her like he never looked at me. To watch him leave me like I hadn't been there for the past three years. So breakdown. You want a breakdown, well to bad cause you wont get it. I'm hurt but i'm not going to wallow or cry and if I was I wouldn't in front of you for your sick satisfaction. I've been through to much to let you play games with my emotions." I say standing up and grabbing my mug off the table. I grab his empty glass and walk toward my door.

" Goodnight alpha, you can see yourself back to the pack house and off my porch" I say to him while closing the door in his face. I don't have time to play anybodies games. I have a child that I can't tell anybody about or the luna could have my child killed. I don't have any choice but to leave the pack now but I don't want to be a rouge. I don't know what i'm going to do but I right now i'm just going to bed and i'll deal with all this tomorrow.
