Good character
A good character is a sparkle that not only make you shines from inside but also gives that sparkle to others from which they can see you shine...
As muslims we are suppose to be an example of righteousness and piety which can be achieved by one having a very good character.
Allah (S.W.A) says the best among you is the one with the best of character. And that means we human are all equal in the face of our lord one can only be different from another if he has a better character.
Character is something that is intrinsically Withing person and is above race,religion,age and gender,and even education and one personality.
A good character is something that should not be just for show when you are infront of other people. Infact ones true character manifest most especially when you are acting by yourself,or when you think nobody is watching.
The messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "By his good character a believer will attain the degree of one who prays during the night and fast during the day."( Abu Dawud)
A man asked the messenger of Allah (pbuh): "which act in islam is the best?" He (pbuh) replied, to give food, and to greet everyone, weather you know or you do not know."[Bukhari and Muslim.]
There are so many ways one can develop good character.
1- By helping the needy with what you think he needed the most( cloth, food,water,medical attention, shelter.e.t.c)
2- Smile when you meet a brother or sister, you may never know that small gesture will surely brighten his day.
3- Respect for our parent and elderly people,they can be some bodies parent too.
4- Forgiveness:forgive others mistake and you too will be forgiving.
4-Control your anger: be calm when you are in a state of anger so that you won't make a mistake or say something you will forever regret.
5- Never ever underestimate a person: that person can be better than you in the eyes of Allah.
6-Be humble: Don't be arrogant and proud. the grave is our final destination.
7- Always speak good about others.
8- Refrain from backbiting .
9-Be grateful.
10- seek for knowledge.
