Chapter Eleven: Just Bang the Doldrums. P2 of 2

'We all looked at each other, bewildered.
Was this someone I've known before, or if at all?'

"Nice to see you're finally here. Haven't seen you in a long time Lia." The figure, that I noticed had bright red hair, said and came by us, "Guess I didn't really introduce myself, I'm Gerard, Brendon's inside."

I was really confused now, I had known a Gerard beforehand...... was I in some sort of alternate reality? I blew it off, thinking it was probably something stupid, "Nice to meet you Gerard, I guess."

"Oh so you guess now do you? Normally people know right away." Gerard smiled and laughed while I looked as white as a ghost, "I'm just kidding, you all can come inside." He gestured towards the building and I saw Lia run straight inside.

Jack rested his hand onto my shoulder, "Kenna, I have a really bad feeling about this, I don't know if we should go." I should've listened, but I didn't.

"Jack, it'll be perfectly fine, I promise," I shrugged his hand off my shoulder and gave a quick hug, "I just wanna find my parents and leave."

I walked into the 'palace' and immediately everything went dark, and I heard the screams of my friends. I knew then that Jack wasn't lying, something was out to get me, and they were going after the people I cared about the most. I focused all of my energy just to summon a small flame that was enough to light up the room. I heard what sounded like a little kid's giggle... my sister's giggle.

"Deja? Please tell me that's you..." I started having tears fall. I know how I was over a year ago, how I hated her. Now, I never wanna lose her, "Please be okay..."

I followed the sound of the giggle and then felt a grip against the nape of my neck. "You're going nowhere, got it?" I recognized my father's voice, and this was from a memory from when I was little, when he got drunk.. someone was playing with me. I ignored my father and continued on.

"Deja, where could've you possibly gone?" I got my answer almost right away when I heard the giggle again, not too far ahead of me. "Deja?" I saw her brown curls, and smiled as she ran to me, hugging me.

"I missed you... why'd you leave us?" She had a saddened tone to her voice and I looked into her hazel eyes that we shared. "You promised me that you'd stay." I felt a pang of guilt but realized that I didn't make that promise when she had her birthday. That was a promise I had made a year before the mess happened.

"I'm sorry, all I'm happy about right now is that you're okay and safe in my arms dej." I had tears falling and she wiped them away. She smiled at me which made me have a glimmer of hope that I'd find the rest of my family.

"Don't cry ken, please don't cry." She hugged me again, and I never wanted to let go.

"I'm never leaving you behind again, I'm so sorry." She frowned after I said this but then smiled, and disappeared right in front of me. "Deja?! Please tell me you're still okay!"

"Oh trust me, she's okay. But, your friends aren't." I recognized that voice finally, and saw the black bit of hair not that far in front of me. "Such a shame, both of your buddies are gone... dead."

"You killed them... you killed Lia and Jack? You killed them.... Brendon?" I felt the flame get a bit more intense.

(Okay typically I would never make Brendon the bad guy, but he's known as the devil in the emo world so I have to. ~k.l.h)

"Looks like someone caught on, finally." The lights around me turned on, illuminating the entire room, who's walls were completely black. "You shouldn't have come here. I hate to tell you, but this world, is actually a-"

I didn't listen and just sent the flame hurdling towards him, and felt it bounce right back at me, throwing me backwards into the wall. I tried to get up but was far too weak.

"I tried to tell you, and you teenagers never listen, sorry in advance." He had a black whirling orb in his hand and sent it straight towards me, hitting my heart.

I then only saw black, and welcomed it immediately.
