Chapter Seven: When Will I Get to See You Again.

"Though I'm weak, and beaten down, I'll slip away into the sound." Twenty | Øne | Piløts, Goner.

The person was right in front of us, it was Lia.

I ran to her and hugged her, "We thought you were dead!" I told her after letting go.

Lia looked uncomfortable, "Don't hug me, and why'd you think I was dead?" She thought for a moment, "Oh, the car accident. Addy was the only one that died."

"At least you're okay." Josh said, "I don't believe we've met?"

"You were in my math class last year." Lia reminded him.

"Oh yeah, that's right." Josh replied, then looked looked back at Tyler, "I guess we need to continue going Kenna, or we won't be outta this forest for a while."

I nodded, and directed Lia back to the others, "Marissa's in bad shape, she's in a coma." I told her.

"Geez, I was the only one that came out awake, wow." Lia looked down at the leaf covered grass.

"Yeah, you were pretty lucky." I told her, "I honestly was pretty worried." I looked up towards the tree branched filled sky and sighed.

We continued walking, and I continued listening to my music to calm myself down, both mentally and physically. I had my hands shoved into the pockets of my hoodie and the hood up. I was pulled back though within in about an hour, and everything went pitch black.

I woke up, with a light shining in my eyes, so my eyes were squinched. I tried getting up, but noticed that my hands were tied to a pole. I tried to gather my surroundings, and I saw that there was a concrete floor beneath my feet. I knew what had happened.

Someone kidnapped me.

I noticed I still had on my shoes and all of my clothes, so that was a good sign. I had an idea come to mind, to set the rope on fire. So I did so, and it incernerated within seconds. I stood up, and started pounding on the door that was a few feet in front of me.

"SOMEONE LET ME OUT, PLEASE!" I screamed as loud as possible. I heard murmuring coming from the other side, and it was getting closer and closer to me. The door clicked and opened up, to have Josh and Jack both standing there.

"Kenna, c'mon I already got the others." Jack took my hand and the three of us started running as fast as we could down a long hallway of doors. We reached the door that led outside when we heard a loud scream, causing us to all whip our heads around.

There was another person running, and someone in full black was chasing them and they weren't that far behind them. Jack quickly opened the door and he and Josh ran out. I didn't follow.

I stayed to hurt whoever was chasing the stranger, who reached where I was, so I quickly opened the door for them, and they went to where the others were.

"RUN, I'LL CATCH UP!" I yelled then shut the door.

I felt a sudden rush of anger, and had fire quickly form in the right palm of my hand, which spread to my finger tips. My eyesight suddenly turned red and I directed a straight beam of fire to the person in black, knocking them out.

The fire went away and my eyesight returned normal. I quickly ran outside and saw that I had set the apparent hospital, as it looked, ablaze.
I ran as far and as fast as possible from the hospital, back to the forest. I was right back where I was when they got ahold of us.

I sat down, and placed my face onto my hands, running my hands up and down my face. I let out a loud sigh, knowing I was all by myself. My nails had dirt caked into them, a few of them broken and bloodied. I looked at my arms and pulled up the sleeves to my hoodie, to see scratches all over my arms. I pulled the sleeves back down. I knew Jack had all of my stuff, so I had no water or food.

I picked myself up and started walking. I had to find them, no matter what. Even though it was nearing to dusk quickly and the sun went down more with each minute. I swallowed and noticed my throat was burning by the sensation, sending pain throughout my body. I stumbled and grabbed onto the nearest tree for support.

How many days has it even been? It feels like 2 or 3 days, and I have no food or water. I'll be lucky if I even survive. My body started shaking, and within seconds, I passed out due to dehydration and starvation, with my back to the tree.

I felt myself being picked up and a shaking sensation, causing my eyes to open. Jack had came back for me, and he had my stuff.

"Kenna, you need to drink something, you're burning up," He said while giving me a water bottle, which I completely drank.

"T-thank y-you," I croaked out with my sore throat.

"Go back to sleep, I'll carry you till we find the others, okay?" He told me, and I obeyed by closing my eyes and curling up into a ball against his chest while he continued looking for the others.

We'll never get out of the forest of darkness.
