✣Chapter 1 -Deceitful Illusions✣

A HAPPIER TIME    

Suddenly Midoriya jumped beside him, 

"Cheese!~" Todoroki was left standing in wonder as Midoriya's phone made a 'click' sound. Midoriya fondly looked over his phone as he matched his gaze to Todoroki's. 

"Midoriya what are you doing?" At that question Midoriya tensed up and smiled, although his mouth was quirking up in worry. 

"Well... Urm... Is it not okay? I thought since we're friends now, it'd be a good idea to take a picture as commendation!" Midoriya asked, his eyes were similar to a puppies, shining with hope and innocence. Todoroki had to turn his head in order to avoid smiling. 

"It's fine." Todoroki said, his words were speeding up and had begun squishing together.

"Deku!" Uraraka's voice chirped up excitedly.

"Let's go! The ice cream parlor won't eat the delicious goodness it produces itself! I hope."

Midoriya quickly bowed to Todoroki,

"I'm sorry, I promised Iida and Uraraka that I'd head to the ice cream parlor with them..." He said, twiddling his thumbs.

"Unless you want to come?" Midoriya suggested. Todoroki perked up before shaking his head. It was the weekends and he had to visit his mother. It was just one day, he'd just ask Midoriya for another later... Or maybe he'd just wait until invited once more.

"I apologize, I have some important business to attend to today." Midoriya softly smiled, 

"I see, well maybe another day?" Midoriya's emerald colored eyes seemed to pull Todoroki. Todoroki opened his mouth to say something and then closed it. After a few moments he opened it once again.

"Maybe."

TODOROKI'S POV

"Have you heard? I heard it was because he failed too many tests."

"Well I heard it's because he made one of the teachers upset."

"I heard he beat a kid up."

"I heard he joined the villain organization in the end."

 Todoroki knew Midoriya hadn't been coming to class but he didn't know that it had come to the point in which Midoriya had gotten a temporary suspension. He didn't know the reason and for damn sure he wanted answers from someone. All the rumors were getting more and more ridiculous by the moment, especially the latest one. Midoriya? A villain? He scoffed at the mere suggestion of it. On the other hand he was beginning to become concerned. Midoriya's absence or his 'suspension' seemed to be happening for a week and a half. He curiously turned towards Bakugou's seat which was strangely empty. He wondered where the hot headed individual had disappeared to. 

"Can you blame him?"

Todoroki took the time to look around the classroom. Most of his other peers were looking uncomfortable, others were gossiping happily similar to a high school girl. His eyes widened as the same green haired individual walked through the door. The room fell silent. Todoroki could tell that something was off about his friend. The feeling made him tense up, and it seemed that he wasn't the only one. As Midoriya was chatting with his friends, seeming to be unusually flirty with Uraraka. Their eyes met for a split second and Todoroki couldn't help but shiver. As usual the sick beating feeling he felt in his heart commenced.

Midoriya simply met Todoroki's eyes before giving him a sheepish smile. That seemed normal enough for the other male. Yet still...
