MIDORIYA'S POV

"Ping."

Izuku delicately placed his finger on the piano. He could practically hear the soothing melody. The heroic melody. The melody of symphonies he could hear to honor his death. Perhaps he was thinking too much. Maybe he was just pitying himself. Whatever he felt... The soothing melody would have relaxed him.

Would have.

Midoriya's head lifted up as he heard the snap of rubber gloves. How could he had forgotten.

"Midori- Deku. I would suggest leaving your hands off of the crime scene."

Like hell that this was a part of being a superhero but what did he care? This just made things easier to control. Everything was within his grasp. Or so it had seemed. Midoriya looked back at his 'partner' for the assignment. After all according to U.A it was better to team up then go alone and die anyways. At first he thought the feeling he felt was admiration towards Todoroki. The way he could handle himself, the confidence he had in every step he made. Now he realized that it was more envy then it was admiration.

"Your right! I'm just nervous. I mean! Ahaha..."

Midoriya forced nervous laughter out of his mouth. How clumsy and carefree he was. The green haired individual watched as police delicately yet efficiently scanned the bloodied crime scene for clues- Well at least hypothetically. There were scorch marks all over the area, the piano was not spared but yet it could still play music since the flames didn't greedily lick at the strings although it was a bit out of tune. Midoriya resisted the urge to rub his hands over the keys one last time as he warily eyed his partner.

TODOROKI'S POV

Todoroki moved around the house uncomfortably. He didn't think that yet, as a student, he'd be faced with a 'bloody' crime scene. He supposed that the teacher's had assumed they needed some hands on experience- That or the police had their hands full with another matter. He was well aware of them. The *blazistic killer was who they were faced with seemed to be proving quite meddlesome. The probability was high that in the work that would be handling that they could be faced with them. It shouldn't have been any problem.

His gaze couldn't help but be drawn to the green haired male. He wondered what exactly partnered them together. No matter what he told himself about his friend he couldn't help but have a nagging feeling. That when he saw the boy once more that they would never be the same. It made his head hurt- since it wasn't logical for his heart to. Since he fell, Midoriya seemed empty. No matter how many ice cream- or arcade trips they went on, he could never get the shine back into his friend's eyes.

It would be different now.

Todoroki tightened his grip before with a determined look he attempted at a smile before he walked up to Midoriya putting a hand on the other male's shoulder.

"You must be nervous. We've never really had to deal with lifeless bodies before."

Shouto had concern in his eyes, when they had first walked in Midoriya had covered his mouth before he started to tremble. Shoto himself simply felt extremely uncomfortable even though he knew it was coming. He had wanted to simply hug the other male and console him but they were heroes that everyone looked up to. He couldn't embarrass the other male no matter how much he wanted to hold him- simply because he saw him in distress. He ruffled his multicolored hair in confusion. He had to focus at the task at hand. After awhile of awkwardly standing there Detective Tsukauchi finally turned his attention to them looking quite grim.
