hot chocolate//fionn whitehead

amber woke up the next morning a mess, to put it lightly. mascara was smudged under her eyes in result of forgetting to take her makeup off and her hair was a whole different story.

the whole night she had stayed up tossing and turning. on one hand, she felt she had been too mean to fionn, but on the other hand, he was the one who caused all this drama in the first place.

after many wars against herself, amber finally decided to text him.

to fionn:

hey, can you come over

less then 5 minutes later, and there was a reply from him.

from fionn:

sure

a while later, after hearing a knock, amber opened the door to stare upon fionn twiddling his thumbs.

"come in," she spoke with a small smile.

fionn didn't say anything but instead nodded and took a seat on her couch.

"I'll make some tea," she whispered, awkwardly shuffling towards the kitchen.

she came back a few minutes later with two mugs of steaming tea. she handed him one and took a seat next to him.

"thanks," he muttered, accepting the cup.

"so," amber said, trying to ease into the conversation. "why weren't you at dinner last night? and be honest."

"amber, i really don't think-"

"no fionn, no cutting corners. tell me the truth." she could feel tears welling in her eyes, maybe he really was cheating on her. she hated the thought, but why else would he be so hesitant to tell her?

"amber, it's hard to explain."

once again, the anger boiled up inside amber and was ready to spill out.

"i can't believe this fionn!" she yelled, abruptly standing up. "why can't you tell me?!" and the tears began to fall.

"amber!" he exclaimed, exasperated. "I just don't know how to tell you!"

amber couldn't believe her own ears, so he was cheating on her! tears poured like a waterfall down her face as she tried to talk without her voice cracking.

"fionn, if you found someone else, just tell me!"

fionn's annoyance quickly turned to shock and then sympathy.

"i get it!" she yelled, burring her face in her hands. "if you've found someone prettier than me, funnier than me, smarter than me."

fionn immediately stood up and took her hands in his.

"amber, is that what you thought?" he whispered, whiping the tears from the cheeks. "i would never cheat on you! I'd never be able to find anyone that I love more!"

amber looked up into fionn's own teary eyes. "then why, why won't you tell me!"

fionn rubbed his forehead and sighed. "the coffee shop is closing."

heheheh suprise! sorry this was so short and that I didn't upload everyday whoops. also I'm gonna start writing a new fionn fanfiction so keep an eye out for that.
