the coffee shop is closing
amber shook her head in disbelief upon hearing those words. "fionn, why didn't you tell me?" she whispered softly.
"i don't know amber," he sighed, "i didn't want you to be disappointed in me."
she looked straight into his green eyes, "why in earth would I be disappointed in you?"
"i don't know," he admitted, looking anywhere but her eyes, "it's just, you're so successful and I could never live up to that but I feel like I need to hold up my end of this relationship, but without a job-"
amber cut him off with a deep kiss, taking fionn by surprise, although he quickly gathered his senses and pulled her closer.
"fionn, you never ever need to worry about me being disappointed in you," she told him after they pulled apart, "i knew you were special the first time I layed eyes upon you, and you've never let me down."
fionn smiled, a real smile that cause his nose to wrinkle, "thank you amber."
amber ruffled his hair, something she liked to do to annoy him. "of course, now, how about i order some pizza and we can watch a movie."
fionn grinned, "can we make hot chocolate?!"
"of course."
-
many hours later and fionn was sound asleep, amber on the other hand, was having trouble. she watched as the sleeping boy's chest rose and fell with every breath. she tried to count the freckles scattered across his back but with no luck.
amber was relived the problem between her and fionn wasn't as dire as she had made it out to be, but something was still bothering her.
how could such a cosy, warm, home feeling place like la cup just suddenly close? amber sadly already knew the answer. with all these new people and companies moving to London, prices of properties were increasing greatly, this was all from research she had done a few months ago for that article-
that's it!
amber nearly jumped out of bed from excitement.
it was just like fionn had said, she was successful, she had the ability to make change.
"fionn! fionn!" she cried, shaking him awake.
opening his eyes slightly, he groaned when he saw it was still the middle of the night. "what?" he whined.
"fionn! I'm going to save the coffee shop!"
my chapters are so short rip
