Chapter 2

Ross POV

There was nothing I could do but sit and wait.

"Mr. Lynch?" the doctoe finally spoke.

"She is losing tons of blood. May we have the permission to do a surgery on her?" he asked.

I nodded my head and smiled a tiny bit. I was so frustrated. I pulled my hair in fear and frustration.

(Still Ross's POV)

Delly walked in and greeted me.

"Hey Del." I said.

"Hey." she responded.

"So how is she?" she asked.

"The doctors are trying to get the bullet out of her and a blood transmution." I explained.

"Do you want me to bring the kids?" she asked.

"Um no, I think they are already scarred from their mother." I said.

There was a small silence but I realized there was a phone pressed to her ear.

"So, how are the kids?" I asked, to get my mind out of the grave situation.

"Seriously, the kids have been very bad. They wouldn't stop crying, even when they came in my room. Ratliff is with them right now." she explained.

I thought maybe the kids SHOULD deserve to see Zoe.

"Actually, bring them." I said.

She nodded and spoke in the phone. She hung up and put the phone away. I sat down and moved my leg uncontrolably...

"Lynch?" the doctor asked.

"That's me." I said.

"So, we have good news and bad news." he said.

"What's the good news?" I asked.

"The surgery was success." he smiled.

"So what's the bad ne-..." I started.

"Daddy!" the kids screamed, tackling me with kisses and hugs.

"So, what's the bad news?" I asked worridley, embracing my children.

"The bad news is—"
