Chapter 46

I woke up from the terrible dream and found myself with Zoe, her head laying on my chest, her arms wrapped around me.

"Zoe...?" I whispered.

She fluttered her eyes open slowly and slightly smiled when she saw me.

"I love you." She said, with a scratchy voice.

"I love you too, baby." I smiled.

She smirked and kissed my cheek lightly and sat on my lap, making herself comfortable on my legs.

She got two XBox controllers and she went between my legs when I opened them, my head on her shoulder with my hands above her controller, holding mine.

"Can we play Modern Warfare?" She asked.

"Whatever you want, boo." I laughed, rolling my eyes.

She rolled her eyes back at me and we began our game. Of course, I won but she was really good at it.

"Aww man!" She slightly frowned.

"Awee! You were awesome!" I said kissing her lips lightly and we parted and we both smiled, me squeezing her cheeks.

We played a bunch more times until we got tired and we were throwing cheeseballs at each other.

"OW! ROSS!" She yelled, a piece of a cheeseball in her left eye.

"Babe, try opening your eye." I said.

She widened it and I blew in her eye and she fluttered her eyes.

"Thanks." She giggled.

We both looked at each other' s eyes. I love her eyes. Her brown chocolate eyes, turning hazel as her happiness grows.

We both leaned in slowly and gently...we both hugged...tightly...and I felt safe and I felt like I was protecting her...

Because I will always protect her....always...
