Patrick wakes up one day regretting, letting his daughter even near his so called friend/captain of his hockey team.
“Babe, what’s wrong?” Delaney asks Patrick.
“I just hate the fact that I wanted her even near him, I know that Kate is happy with Jon and that Sophia should like Jon as well, but I’m jealous because she never wants to come over and hang with me, and I’m her actual father.” Patrick says in a sad tone.
“Babe, It will be okay. I actually have some great news for you.” Delaney says.
“What is it babe?” Patrick looks at Delaney.
“I’m 2 months pregnant babe. The doctor says its twins. “ Delaney says to him.
“Baby, that’s great. I am so happy for us.” Patrick says in a happy tone.
That night Patrick shares the news at the hockey game, and that’s when he gives Delaney her promise ring.
“Babe, I have a little gift for you.” Patrick says to Delaney.
“What is it baby?” Delaney says.
“Its a promise ring.” Patrick says as he slips the ring on her finger.
“I promise to be there for you, to love you, to be there when you are weak, when you are strong, and throughout the relationship, and pregnancy. You mean so much to me that I promise that I will always have time to talk, listen, and cuddle when you need someone. “ Patrick says with a tear rolling down his cheek.
“Oh baby, don’t cry.” Delaney says as she wipes the falling tear of Pat’s face.
The Blackhawks win that night, and the star players are Hossa, Toews and and the all star of the game was Kane (with 4 goals, and 3 assists.)
3 months later Delaney and Patrick are at the doctor’s office to find out the gender of their twins...
“Seems that you will be having two healthy, kicking little boys. “ the doctor says in a sarcastic way.
Delaney reaches over and grabs Patrick’s hand. “ I’m as happy right now as I’ve ever been. I love you Patrick Timothy. “
“I love you too babygirl.” Patrick says back to her.
“Any names picked out guys?” The doctor asks before they leave.
“We were thinking about Carter and Aaron.” Patrick says.
Delaney smiles, and the doctor says, “Great names, I’ll see you in a few months for a checkup.”
