I had been played for the fool for so long. I had no idea that the person I knew as Zac was actually Andrew Lincoln. For the life of me I couldn't quite figure out his end game was. Did he get off on screwing with people's minds. Getting them to tell him their secrets while he trades in lies. We'll this game with me was done. I was quitting!
I stood and began to walk to the exit with new found determination. Determination that rapidly faded once I could see out the windows. The storm had graduated from raining to golf sized balls of hail. In fact it was hailing so hard the ground was blanketed as if it was the first snowfall of the year. Crap I was stuck or at least for the moment. Now what....that's when I remembered one of Andrews earlier messages about his guest pass.
I wondered around until I found the reception desk. Behind the counter was some guy dressed up in a Rick Grimes costume. You got to be kidding me but looking around I saw several people dressed as Rick or other cast members. It was then that I noticed the wide variety of people dressed in all sorts of things. Boy people got right into this thing didn't,t they. I showed him my drivers licence and it turn after signing some papers he handed me my all inclusive guest pass. With a nervous voice the short frumpy man behind the counter looked at me and said " Tell Mr. Lincoln it is an honour to have him here and I can't wait to see him later. " With a smile and a wave I turned and walked away.
Looking down at the pass in my hand I rubbed my fingers across where it said my name in raised letters....Amanda White. Snidely I thought he knew my name all along while I never knew his. Rolling my card over there was a picture of Andrew. Even now I had to admit he was hot. No if ands buts or maybes this man had it going on. I hung the badge around my neck and got behind some chick that looked like a robot in the Game Of Thrones line. I was only standing in line for a moment when a gentleman in a security uniform came up to me. After checking my pass and my I.D he removed me from the line and directly into the auditorium. Guess there was some definite benefits to knowing Andrew.
Well isn't that a joke and a half. Knowing Andrew...I knew someone who was pretending to be someone named Zac. I don't know what I was expecting but it certainly wasn't this. We had swapped several pictures over the course of the past year so I was at least sure that's what he looked like. I was so wrong. I just can't believe I didn't catch on. How you ask did I not catch on when I herd his voice for the first time. I don't have an answer other than I was blind sided.
The girls had gone to a friends for a sleep over and we were messaging as usual.
"I got the last pic you sent. It got me to thinking I would like to hear the voice behind the words I read daily. You should give me your number so I can call you" Hesitantly I did. If I was honest I wanted to know what he sounded like too. Within minutes my phone lit up with an international call.
"Hello" god my voice sounded so bizar. Perhaps it was because my heart was beating so loudly.
"Hey girl. It's good to finally hear your voice." Now I am no different than any other female and accents caught my interest right away. However the sound of his voice made my knees go week. It just screamed sex. His voice was like a drug and I was instantly hooked.
As time went on we began messaging during the day and talking every night. Somewhere in the back of my mind if I was truly honest with myself I would have admitted I was starting to fall for him. The thing about ignorance is, it truly is bliss. Back when we first started talking we started the fifty question game. The deal was you had to answer honestly even if it was something you thought the other person didn't want to hear. That and you had to answer. By now I was sure we had asked each other well more than a hundred questions. We just kept the game going...
"Ok I got a question for you. What's your biggest turn on." We hadn't played in a few days so he took me by surprise.
"That's a hard one to answer." I paused fumbling for the right words
"Don't tease me. It's not nice." I noticed his voice had dropped a few tones lower
" I'm not trying to tease. It's just hard to explain. It's more what a guy says than what he does." I paused
" I'm listen. What do you mean exactly" Just the sound of his voice was making it hard to concentrate. This was the first time we had come right out and directly talked about anything like this. It had always been in the hidden sub context. Slight flirting when you read between the lines type of thing.
"It's when a guy tells you honestly what he is thinking. I don't know ....say you want to kiss a girl or something. We'll you tell her that you want to and how bad you want to. It's just something about a man letting you in on that deep personal level. " Figuring I was babbling like a buffoon I stopped talking. The phone line went dead "Zac are you still there?"
"Ya ya I'm here. I was just thinking" his voice was so low and husky.
" What are you thinking about? Oh and my question is what's your biggest turn on" my voice was even sounding husky now.
"Cheater that's two questions so I will pick which one I want to answer.....My biggest turn on is a girl who can kiss. I love long, slow, deep, wet kisses. The kind that go on for days and make your toes curl" it was as if his voice was wrapping around my body. I could hardly breath. I was tingling from head to toe.
"What are you thinking about?" I asked trying to break the electric silence.
A low laugh rumbled across the phone. "Things I don't know if I should be thinking about. Things I can't seem to stop thinking about."
