The Game Of Thrones panel had just finished and I had to admit I rather enjoyed it. The rain showed no signs of letting up so I checked out all the different posters and banners of everything you could go to. That's when I noticed that the cast of Dexter was coming up shortly. I loved that show so I made my way over to auditorium 14S.
Just as before once security notice my pass they pulled my from the line up and seated me right away in the front. I felt a small twinge of guilt for using Andrews pass but I stepped on that feeling real quick. Screw him he had been using and lying to me for months.
I had been so exited and nervous for the past three weeks about meeting Zac/Andrew. Time trickled by so slowly that I never thought this day would come. It had been so long since I had felt such anticipation for anything. To say I was a nervous reck this morning was the understatement of the year. I changed outfits about 600 times and redid my hair into multiple different styles. Nothing was working. Everything made my ass look fat or showed my tummy buldge. It's not like I was huge but I wasn't skinny either. My hair was either to flat or to poofy. I had finally settled on my hair being down but curly. Black pants with a black shirt and my red jacket over top. I still wasn't happy but I had ran out of time.
I took the girls over to Tammy's for the weekend. They were going to her parents cabin at Lylo beach with her husband and kids. Lylo beach was about four and a half hours out of the city and incredibly beautiful. It was so relaxing there that you lost track of time and didn't care. It was all privately owned cabins. Some lived in year round while others during the summer months. It was a close nit community where everyone knew everyone and watched out for each other. There was a gas station, small corner store and a cafe all family owned and operated. Her parents had bought the cabin years ago when Tammy and her brothers were just kids and they spent their summers lost in their own private paradise. Now the grandchildren went making new memories and carrying on traditions of the past. Over the years I had grown close to Tammy's parents especially since the passing of mine and I often spent many a weekend there with them.
When we pulled up Tammy was just loading the last of the bags into the back of her truck. By now I was starting to second guess my decision to meet Zac/Andrew. Maybe this was a mistake. Looking at Tammy I knew she could see the self doubt written all over my face. Tammy and I had been best friends since middle school. We stood by each other through the good and the bad and what ever life tried to throw in between. Reaching over she grabbed the girls bag from them.
"Hey guys your just in time. Why don't you run in and get the Sammy and Karla so we can hit the road." Walking around to the back of her truck, bags in hand she raised her eyebrows at me.
"Wow you do look hot when you clean up. You know I can see the wheels just spinning in your head. What's up?" She asked hoisting the girls bags into the back of the truck.
I leaned against the back of the tail gate. "I was thinking maybe I should come to the cabin with you guys. It should be a good weekend."
"Your right it's going to be a blast." With a smile she added, "and your not coming." Reaching out she took my hand and squeezed it.
I could never hide anything from Tammy and my words came rushing out. "I just...... I think this is a mistake. What if he stands me up? Or sees me and runs the other way. What if he thinks I'm hideous?"
Tammy burst out laughing. "You guys have been talking for over a year. You've swapped pictures so he knows what you look like. Besides he could have came to New York done his business and been back in London without you knowing. He told you cause he wants to meet you too. I know I haven't been the biggest supporter of your guys relationship or what ever you want to call it but I think I was wrong. Now your going to go get in your jeep and drive there and meet him."
