Jenna was having an edgy temper. She is short tempered just as it is, but what with her failures in her lessons, there was no way she could shove her anger up someone's ass and smile like everything is fine. It felt humiliating.

She felt like a storm as she sat in her lonely bed in her room, staring out the window at a lone rabbit scampering across the yard. This is no place for me. She didn't belong there. She never did. If it was Rose, she would have easily adapted to these people and earned their favour easily. Good, old witty Rose. But she wasn't Rose. She was just the stubborn and aggressive Jenna. The monster. She missed Rose. I'm so sorry Rose. She wanted to run away but she knew she couldn't. She didn't know where to go.

Suddenly her door opened, startling her. Fiona stepped in.

"Can't you knock?" Jenna snapped.

"Sorry," she answered sheepishly. "Old Nana wants to see you."

Jenna cursed aloud. Can't Nana leave her alone? What did she want this time? More humiliation?

Fiona tried to hide a sheepish smile as Jenna cursed. She hated Old Nana as much as Jenna hated her right now. She led Jenna out, who was still muttering to herself.

"Do you know what she wants?" Jenna demanded.

"I'm not supposed to talk to you," Fiona answered and then added. "But I guess a little info wouldn't hurt. Apparently, she seems to know how your training went and maybe she wants to give you a piece of her mind."

Jenna admired the girl's rebellious trait instantly. Fiona reminded her of herself. She stared at the girl. She had blonde hair tied up in a ponytail. Her eyes were hazel. Jenna wondered where she had seen them before.

Before she knew it, Jenna was standing inside the weird office. Nana was shuffling through some papers, perched upside down.

"Ah..." She said, gliding down. "There you are. I've been hearing about your anger issues."

Great!

"You aren't gonna go anywhere with that kind of attitude Jenny," Nana said in her raspy voice.

Jenna gave up trying to correct her name. Either Nana is very scattered brain or just being arrogantly stubborn, Jenna could never get her to call her by her right name.

"Therefore," Nana said, her eyes suddenly gleaming. "In order to tame that temper, I'm gonna put in an anger management class before we start with anything else."

"No way," Jenna protested.

"Yes way," Nana argued. "You have to know what you're fighting for and we've got to do all that needs to be done. You're not just fighting for other people's lives here Jenny. You're fighting for your own."

Jenna had had enough. Coming here was a greater mistake than moving to Langderton. People expect her to be something she's not and she had had enough of that frustration and humiliation.

"Appreciate the offer but you know what," Jenna snapped. "Sorry, I'm gonna have to pass."

She heard Nana calling behind her as she stomped out of the room. She didn't turn back. No one can make her something she's not. She was gonna escape this place. She don't know how but she was gonna figure out a way.

Jenna paced the halls making plans on escaping. She wondered how she would get past these psychics who seemed to know everything. She wondered if Leah would understand and help her escape. She seemed understanding and sympathizing when required. Jenna was opening up a little bit to Leah whom she found mysteriously attractive. She felt funny feeling that way for a girl. But Jenna knew even if Leah would want to help her escape, she couldn't violate the rules and betray the circle. She was on her own.

She was too engrossed in her thoughts that she didn't know where she was. Only when she heard a sound did she become alert and aware of her surrounding.

She was standing beside a door which she had never seen before. It was a large steel door. She had never been in this part of the building before. She heard the sound again. It was a piercing scream followed by a soft moan.

Is it from behind this door?

Jenna inched closer to the door. Yes, it was definitely coming from behind the door. She felt her heart race faster. She wondered what she would find as she opened the door slowly without a sound.

The room inside looked like a spacious living room with all the essential furniture and decor but the color theme was white and steel, giving one an impression that it was a lab of some kind. Suddenly Jenna felt an overwhelming aura of something dark again. A girl was sitting back on the couch, with her head tilted up and eyes closed, her mouth slightly open. She also saw the back of someone else who appeared to be kissing the girl's neck. They looked as though they were cuddling. Jenna wondered if she was intruding on a couple making out. She suddenly felt embarrassed and was about to turn away quietly when the person lifted his head and turned slightly.

Jenna's eyes popped. Her mouth opened to scream but she stopped herself in nick of time. She was staring at a vampire feeding on human blood. Her horror got more intense as she realized the bloodsucker was Leah. Blood trickled from her fangs down her chin. She looked almost unrecognizable. Jenna had never seen her so hungry, so desperate. Blood was spurting from the girls throat from where she was bitten. Jenna wanted to gag. She turned away and ran before her nausea and shock gave way.

She didn't care whether Leah had heard her. She was too terrified to think straight. True, she knew Leah was a vampire but she never really gave this habit of drinking blood a thought. Vampires need blood to survive but the sight repelled her. Leah Dupont. A killer. The idea repelled her so much that the thought of Leah disgusted her. How did she even feel attracted to her? How could anyone kill another human just to quench their need?

She dashed into Fiona just as she reached her door.

"Jenna?" Fiona said in surprise. "Are you okay?"

"Don't talk to me," Jenna silenced her. "I just saw something I'll never forget. Leave me alone."
