Rose's Perspective:-

Rose could've sworn she heard someone come. She tried her best to shout for help. But she couldn't manage except above a whisper. The person whoever it was left. Rose's hopes diminished as the person's footsteps died away. She had no strength. She was as good as dead. This wasn't what she asked for. She slumped back down on top of the girl's body and waited for her own death. But something alerted her again. A flutter.

She opened her eyes and saw a big black falcon like creature right in front of her with burning red eyes. It stood there motionless as though waiting for her death so that it could feed on her. Rose thought bitterly that even nature couldn't wait for her death. She closed her eyes and wished she would die fast. But she was nudged again. By the bird. With its head, the bird pushed Rose and the girl apart. Rose watched in horror as the bird pecked on the girl with his beak. But as she watched closely, she realized the bird wasn't pecking at her. Instead it was trying to pick her up. He managed to put her on his back and got ready to fly away. With all the strength that was left in her, Rose fumbled at the bird.

"No," she whispered. "Please don't. Don't take her away."

The bird then cast another look at Rose, tilting its head. And suddenly, Rose was also hoisted up on the bird's back. The bird took off. The sound the great wings made was deafening. Rose remembered soaring high above the ground until she couldn't remember anymore.
