As Jenna waited for what would happen next, Trevor took out something from his pocket and threw it on the floor. Then in an instant, a portal opened up. It was a flickering blue light. Jenna gawked at the portal. Seriously? Leah walked in without a moment's hesitation and disappeared into it. Now Jenna stood alone with Trevor who was savouring her fear with relish.

"Ready to enter the nightmare?" He sneered.

Jenna didn't reply. Does Trevor always have to enjoy the plight of others? Somehow, she felt that this wasn't gonna be a joy ride. She walked inside with a fearful heart. As soon as her foot touched the light, she was pulled in by a powerful force. She screamed in terror as everything became a maze of spirals.

Then she found herself in a hall of some kind. It was huge and classic. A big chandelier hung in the middle of the tall ceiling. Vintage! She realized she was still screaming but stopped short when she saw many unfamiliar pale faces gaping at her in surprise. She flushed from embarrassment and looked around her. Their aurae was overwhelming. She realized they must all be vampires.

Trevor suddenly appeared beside her through the portal.

"Take a look around if you please," Trevor drawled. "I'm taking a nap. It's been three days since I last slept."

He walked away leaving Jenna gawking at him in surprise. Jenna couldn't believe what he just did. Amiable hostShe knew no one. She knew nothing. She didn't know where she was. All she knew was that she was surrounded by bloodsuckers all around her and they were still eyeing her. Is that hunger she's seeing in their eyes?

She glanced around nervously. Trevor had already disappeared. Leah was nowhere to be seen either. As she stood there, she saw a gang of girls and boys approaching her. She pretended like she didn't see them and headed to the other direction hastily. All she needs to do is to keep away from the other vampires until Trevor was done with his nap. She hoped it wouldn't take long.

She ran outside. The bright sunlight surprised her and momentarily blinded her. The inside of the building gave her the impression that it was night. Then she realized she was staring at a large open field, surrounded by trees which spread for miles and miles. She turned back and nearly fell over as she saw the building she came out from. It wasn't a building. It was a mansion. No, a castle. It had three spires, one in the middle and one on each side. Red triangular flags fluttered from the spires. What is this place?

Jenna stood outside in the sunlight. Vampires can't stand the sun rays. She felt safer standing there. She felt safe for a time being but thought about what would happen once the sun sets. She would be vulnerable then with no place to run or hide. But to her surprise, she saw the gang come outside. It was led by a young girl with blonde pixie haircut. She reminded Jenna of Leah but Leah was so much more better looking than the young girl. Jenna took a step back. She knew it would be foolish to run because she could be caught up in a blink of an eye.

"But how can you-

"Walk in the sunlight?" The girl sneered and completed her question. Then she turned to her gang and sneered. "Newbies. That's always their first question."

"FYI, we do walk in the sunlight," she continued, turning to Jenna. "But of course you must have grown up hearing myths about how we burn in the sunlight. People are so narrow minded, can you believe it?"

Jenna could sense danger. The girl was invading her space. She had come uncomfortably close to Jenna. Jenna backed a little.

"Are you scared?" She drooled then added, "Yes, I can sense your fear. How charming! How romantic!"

She's crazy!

She was shorter than Jenna but she was nasty. And strange. Jenna swallowed hard.

"You don't need to be afraid," she said in a low alluring voice. "It won't hurt a bit. Trust me. You'll be screaming for more."

Jenna wondered what she was talking about. The girl leaned in closer and brushed Jenna's hair away from her neck. Panic seized her. She suddenly realized what the plan was.

The girl's expression suddenly turned to hunger. Or was it thirst? Desperation was written all over her face now. She was gonna bite Jenna. Jenna squirmed and tried to break free but the girl was too strong.

"No," she screamed and with all her strength, she pushed the girl back.

The girl looked surprised when she was pushed back. Then her face turned into a scowl and she lunged out at Jenna sending both of them rolling on the grass. The others watched and cheered as they fought. Jenna couldn't attack except defend herself from being bitten. The girl was raging with fury now. No one had ever fought back with her. This is one stubborn bitch.

Just then, Jenna spotted a familiar face at the far side of the building. She gasped in surprise at Ivy Starling. She was leaning against the wall and was grinning at her, clearly enjoying her struggle.

"Ivy," Jenna shouted desperately. "Help me."

Ivy didn't move. She had her arms crossed and continued smirking.
Jenna could not defend herself any longer. She was tiring out and her arms were getting wobbly. Then she was thrown down with her arms pinned. She couldn't get her hands out. She screamed in fear. Just as the girl was about to sink her fangs on her skin, she was suddenly lifted up roughly and was sent flying where she crashed into the building wall. She bared her fangs in anger at the intrusion. Jenna saw Leah striding purposefully towards the girl. Then she saw Leah lift the girl with her right hand and dumped her again on the ground, hard. The gang gasped as she made her way towards them.

"She's not a feeder," Leah yelled at them. "Don't anyone of you dare lay a finger on her. Understood?"

Feeder?

Jenna had never seen Leah so angry. It frightened her. She's a monster. Leah was feeling so mad as she strode towards Jenna. Jenna realized that Leah's eyes burned brighter when she is mad. It was really bright now, glowing even. She slunk in fear.

"Come with me," she told Jenna and turned away.

Jenna followed obediently. She was beginning to become a little more submissive lately. The other vamps' eyes were on her as she passed them to catch up with Leah. They passed the young girl with the pixie haircut. She was glaring at Jenna as if to say it isn't over. Jenna shivered and quickened her pace to catch up with Leah. She had so many questions in her mind. Would Leah answer her?
