"Well done, girls. Go shower up," said Gobber.

My team and I went to the Locker room to get ready for our next two hour class.

"Hey," says Suzan. "Did you see that manager? He is so hot!"

"You mean Hiccup?" asked Brittany. "He's a big geek. Hasn't even had a girlfriend."

"So what?" Suzan counters. "He's totally yummy."

Hearing the girls talk about Hiccup this way made me sick. It was like my blood was boiling.

"Guys, he's a boy. Of course he's cute. That's what happens after puberty," I said, completely annoyed.

"Oh, is someone jealous because he's getting more attention? Astrid, you've ignored him for many years. You lost your chance. Let the other girls get a turn at the hot piece of meat," Hannah said.

That hit a sore spot. I didn't mean to do that to Hiccup. But I knew that Hiccup had better taste than these air-headed, cliché jocks. He was better than that.

"Hiccup wouldn't go for any of you," I said, matter of fact like.

"And he would you?"

"I never said he would," I replied. "All I know is that you girls are too.. well, mean. You treat everyone badly, but the popular side."

"Well, so do you." Suzan smirked.

I looked her dead in the eye. "And that was my biggest mistake."

They watched as I walked out, completely stunned.
